Heya Chief - Yep, IIRC, they would usually top out at about 35-36A, but usually were 'happiest' at about 32-35.. not much difference in Power, really.. Even the I-90 supplies (or I-70s / their supplies..) that could run them to 40A, there was not a 'Uuuuge' ;) difference in Power, between...

Nice.. Always admired the Ghias... Had a good friend with a gorgeous deep-Blue one, that moved to Maui and got married to some supermodel-chic, made rediculous money 'day trading', and pretty much surfed, spearfished and dove full-time (..when he wasn't busy 'working her over' 24/7, I'm sure.....

Default Eh. My hunting property is about 9 miles from the closest paved road. Through water, mud, sand, etc. Have to be a 4x4 to even make it close. Sometimes there's water well over the tires, sometimes it's so dry you bury to the frame in the sand. Gotta be prepared for everything, need a big...

Contrary to popular belief about Americans gear heads and drag racing, some of us actually like our cars to turn. Teslas do not fare well on road circuits often going into limp mode in under a lap. So, while I'm happy to drive something economical around day to day, when I want to go fast,...

You could with a Tesla. :) Swami seems to have one of the more economical 4wd options. I think the US still has a lot to learn from the EU about transport and the environment. Trouble is some addictions such as those to large capacity engines are hard to break, and there's no real justification...

Correct I've done it both ways Tedious with the head on Also have fun with the head bolt , driver side against the firewall 😂. It's miserable I'd try without first, only pulling the head, but being prepared to. Unless you have any other reason to get in there.

My Jeep starting having some lifer tap for the first time a few months back. It has 160,000 miles on it. I might try running some seafoam through it before i pull the head. From what I understand, it is possible to replace lifters with the head on but not sure I am brave enough for that. One...

Yes, it will be on the feature list, sensorless vector tuning, auto tuning, optimised control are all terms that are used for similar technologies; basically if it doesn't mention any advanced drive technology, it's likely to be fine.

A HGM 8 and HGM 20 are the same chassis with a few more passbank transistors on the 20, plus the three phase bridge on the 20. A HGM 5 is a condensed version of a 8, modified for air cooling by the addition of fins. I have a hard time telling a 20 and a 8 apart. The circuit cards are nearly...

Wow, can't believe how gas guzzling those cars are still in the US. Nice motors but it's no wonder you have air and emission issues. In the UK, if a cars does 33mpg (40 mpg US) Urban, that's considered to be poor economy. Many EU cars are managing in the 40's mpg (49+ mpg US) Urban now. I have...
