Bug reporting document is here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...it?usp=sharing
It's more of a temporary solution. Please request access.

Also, check out what the Automap button does. It will map incoming midi signals to the highlighted command/key, and then jump to the next one. Saves you the effort of typing it in...

Has anyone had success using the Joy1X command. I have a joystick plugged into my USB port on my computer however when I try using Joy1X (tired Y & Z as well) or Joy2X I do not get any change in my pattern when I move the joystick around. I am just trying to do a simple Pre-Move right now. I am able to get MouseX to work with no issues. I feel like I am missing a setting or something that tells LSX what Device = Joy1. I have tried two different joysticks (Logitec Attack 3, and A-Pac). Still no luck.

I've not tried, but If you leave the expression window open while in play/edit mode, you should see if the expression is correct by movement on the graph at the bottom.

I have never heard of anyone using the joystick, so it could be bugged. I take the joystick works fine in other programs?

Thanks. I tried that with no luck. I did notice the graph moving when I tried the MouseX command. When I play MAME with a game pad or joystick I usually have to go into the settings at least once and setup the joystick so the software knows what joystick I am using and which button is which.

Yes the joystick works fine with other programs. Is there some kind of Midi encoder I should be looking for instead of a joystick encoder. I am looking for analog input from an external device recognized by LSX. I was thinking Joystick command would be the way to go but looks like I might be going down the wrong rabbit hole. Any idea how I can get analog input into LSX.

Hi salty, joystick input is working. It uses the standard microsoft joystick interface functions and uses the first two enumerated devices on your system. You can test with this app, use the vJoy Feeder (demo) http://vjoystick.sourceforge.net/sit...ll/72-download

There are other options: MIDI and OSC. OSC would be the preferred method because it has greater resolution than MIDI and if you wanted to you could control it from another computer or tablet/phone. There are OSC inputs that can be used in animation expressions to control whatever you like.

feel free to send me a PM or email for more info.

Had a chance to play around with LSX some last night. I decided I wanted to figure out how to generate a triangle wave. I then incorporated it into this pattern using a few other expressions. Here is the equation I used for the triangle wave.

    (2/pi)*asin(sin(2*pi*etime))+0.5

I'm still trying to make better video. I was able to get the lighting better so you can see the detail but still working on the focusing. I only have a cell phone cam available so its a little tedious.
