Default KAM LaserScan 170 Scanner Amp info request.

    Hi All

Anyone know what each pot does on this dual scanner amp from a KAM Laserscan 170 RGY (15-20K)?

I know the two out side pots are size (by trial and error on second attempt) but I don't have the skills to determine what the others are just by manipulation or by investigation with scopes or other tools.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Cheers

    Colin.

I don't know what order they are in, put you should have image size, position sensor scale, damping, servo and offset.

Messing with position sensor scale can put you in a world of hurt.

Sometimes if you are lucky, try to desolder those pots, as it may reveal silk screen marking which pot it what.

    Thanks for the replies.

Steve: Exactly why I wanted to know which did what before messing around with them.

Philipp: Didn't want to be that invasive. I was originally looking for the size pots to match the projector output with that of a Kam Laserscan 300 RGB (which I have now performed) but also to try and tune it a bit better (which I'm not going to bother with now).

    Again thanks for the replies.

When encountering an unknown set of galvo boards I usually search on EBay for look alikes. I found this set: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Budget-Laser...item27f554a3b4

Here is a screen capture of the board layout with description:
