Y'all will wear the damned polo shirts and like it!
Seriously though, the main reason we do polo shirts is that they are just about the same price as the T-shirts and they hold up very well to repeated washings. If we did T-shirts they'd be rags in a year. (Especially with a full-color iron-on logo.) And yeah, you need to do an iron-on, because embroidery doesn't work on T-shirt material. (As they shrink in the wash, the embroidery thread puckers.)
I still have my original SELEM 1 shirt from 2007. And while it's been washed a *BUNCH* of times, it's still wearable. Maybe I'll bring it just to show the difference that a knit shirt makes. (This was back in the days when DZ's mother did all the sewing for us!)
