This is only the second FLEM that DZ has missed (or will have missed, I should say). I agree that it will be strange to not have him there. Also, I just found out that PolishedBall will not be able to attend after all either. (He was the mystery guest I mentioned earlier.)

That being said, we do have a sizable group of people who will be attending, and there are still quite a few "maybes" pending as well.

Speaking of "maybes"... Chuck: any way you can extend your stay a few days so you can make it?

For everyone who is already confirmed - Brad and I will roll into Tavares on Thursday in the afternoon. Right now we really don't have any plans other than we were thinking about going to Angelo's for dinner with my mom. But if anyone else will be in town and available, we are open to any suggestions for other activities.

On Friday I need to go to the doctor's office with my mother in the morning. I should be out of there by 10:30 AM, if not sooner. And as soon as we are done with the doctor I plan to head to the venue. Brad may decide to head over there even earlier - not sure yet. But for sure by 11 AM on Friday the venue will be open and accessible. As per the norm I'll get the tables re-arranged and the sound system hooked up right away.

Given the number of folks who are interested in quad-copters, we may want to make a short trip to a nearby park or open field for some flying on either Friday or Saturday. Will play that by ear I guess. Also, Friday evening we'll probably do dinner at around 7:30 or so. If you are coming into town Friday night and want to join us for dinner, call me, Brad, or someone else who is at the venue so we know when you'll be arriving. That way we can plan dinner accordingly.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in about 9 days!

    does this help?

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

This one *will* be a bit different. I haven't even figured out if/what laser related stuff to bring. Good thing FLEM is more of a social event. Maybe I'll drag out the mega lumia machine and try to get some work done on it. Or spend time trying to organize my massive pile of receipts and invoices and get some sort of better organization to the business side of things or something. Might bring the Epson audience scanning emulaser projector to evaluate again although.... didn't we do that last year and never came up with a conclusion?
    .
Maybe bring the boxes of stuff I need to go through with my checklist to send to Jordi, to finish my 12w plate.

Sheesh! At this rate you'll end up renting another U-haul van just to take everything down to Florida! (Then again, I'm probably going to have to rent a U-haul trailer, so I guess I should talk smack...)

Hoping to play with a couple 8-watt RGB modules while I'm there, and I'll probably do a little FPV flying too. Apart from that though, I don't have any real activities planned.

Will there be a well balanced full diode projector to run graphics through? Looking forward to showing a few LSX graphics shows.
