When the Showlaser was new I remember downloading the video. It might of come up on alt.lasers, or perhaps the LaserF/X IRC chat. I must of watched it a thousand times! When we watched it at FLEM the year before last I pretty much remembered it word for word.

This was in a time/era when all diodes that were making it into the general light show level were very very low power. It seemed like a dream machine, so much power, integrated cooling, etc. Red diodes were a thing but this machine foreshadowed where we would end up I suppose. I didn't know it was PCAOM based, I always imagined it had direct modulation of some sort.

    Fascinating that these are surfacing!

You know .... we need to watch some shows on it @ SELEM.

    Serious question:

Is there anyone here who is qualified to troubleshoot / repair one of these units? Because I know where another one is, and it's quite a bit closer to me than the one in the E-bay listing.

Also, I'm pretty sure only 10 of these were ever produced.

Aron (Lumia) is qualified. You've met him at SELEM.

I never understood the curved top. Was it to discourage people from setting their drinks on it? Attractive and more stylish than a box.
