    Default Recommendations on interface.

    "I was just about to put in a order on the laser dock dongle but saw the price tag now, $299 made it loose a lot of it's competitiveness. Even if their software still could be a lot of fun playing around with. So what is the options?"

    Range is based on price only not saying anything about the function or quality.

    The DAC is of course important, but you also might want to consider the software supported by the individual DAC.

    I guess a better approach would be to find out what kind of software you want to use, and then find the best or only DAC supporting that SW.

    If I'm not mistaken the etherdream can playback and stream wav from the computer.
    Not just sdcard
    leading in trailing technology

    Of course, I should clarify that about Etherdream. I also added RIYA.

    As for my quest I ordered a Helios and will try it out. While doing some research I found some interesting finds about Lasershark and might get one for some experiments.
    You know, I have one simple request. And that is to have sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads!
