    Default low power laser recs for photography project

    need some talent-safe laser pointers for photography project. will be bouncing lasers off metal poles or off plexi etc, any recommendations for low power inexpensive lasers or laser pointers? i was going to just get some cheap stuff from a local party store or amazon but thought to ask the group first

    Depends what you mean by "inexpensive" and "low power". If you your budget is less than $50 and <5mW will suit your needs then you could buy several pointers from a local electronics store, Amazon or eBay. If you want more power than that and have a bit more cash to spend then maybe consider DTR's single mode diodes. The green will do 50-80mW easily. The diode module and a cheap driver can be had for around $50. Putting it into a host will cost a bit more but that may not be necessary for your purposes. Cheap Chinese green DPSS modules can be found all over eBay (with or without driver included) but the actual output power will probably only be a fraction of what they are advertised as (I bought a 150mW module with driver years back but it only put out about 30mW).
