Default SF BAY AREA: 4' x 8' x 8" optical table with pneumatic legs

I just got offered what looks like a really nice Melles Griot optical table. It's got Thorlabs part numbers that I couldn't find any info about. The table is PTQ11109 and the legs PTP502. Asking $2K with free delivery in the SF Bay Area, somewhat negotiable.

The seller really wants to move this fast so they've dropped the price to $1200, still with delivery within a reasonable distance of San Jose. PM me if interested and I'll put you in touch.

Wow!, that's beautiful (and I have serious table envy). Why does this sort of stuff never come up in the UK?

Ha ha. You'd be popular with that as a coffee table Jem!

Is an item of beauty though and I guess ideal for holography. You're right though, we never seem to see these kind of things in the UK. Either the universities / labs hold onto them or they never had the budget to buy them in the 1st place.

There were three that really really recently sold in the UK at auction for a super nice price. (Active pneumatic vibration isolation; Thorlabs... 110 // 150mm thick)
I was tempted myself buy couldn't justify the space.

If you see any more (at a decent price) you'll have to let me know Dan.

There were some came up in the south west a couple of years ago, ex BT lab's I think. Was collection in person though and I don't think they'd have fitted in the back of the Landy

Yes, Holography is just one additional addictive hobby....
