    One point Five Amps max, and you may need to add parts or electrically isolate the heat sink, but for cooling a stabilized single mode diode, which is what I need to do, well... Priceless...

    Can't go wrong @ $3!

    However I've been loving these new things from Thorlabs lately: https://www.thorlabs.de/newgrouppage...group_id=10626
    (Similar spec up to ±1.5A)

    Absolutely!

    Solder some pins to the side... slap it in a breadboard... and away you go!
    (That way there's more room for lab snacks in the box)
