Default Breathing new life into a Hurricane Sandy Refugee Laser Media LM10 clone beam table

    • HI All
    • Its been a while since I have posted on PL, my personal life has been pretty busy with not much time to put into my passion . I recently adopted a Laser Media LM10 clone Beamtable from VJ AIWAZ, it had been a victim of Sheeps Head Bay pouring into VJ AIWAZs Shop during Hurricane Sandy along with a lot if his other gear We cleaned it up got rid of the corroded stuff installed a solid state 4 watt RGB laser some new electronics and it lives again.
    • This is old school meets new school. What I have always liked about beam tables is the versatilty they offer, they can be beam hits one day and a lasarium style projector with lumia wheels and various other effects the next. I have two compact 4 watt RGB graphic projectors to take out when I dont feel like hauling this around but its always nice to have it when a crap load of laser effects are called for.

    • I currently have 8 positions operational will have all 10 shortly plus a scan head in the center with 30k scanners.
Along with a Machado effect. This is still a work in progress but its getting there.

Thanks Steve Still would like a bigger mill so I can turn them out faster but for now it gets the job done. I plan on doing another run shortly if you need any let me know, Wish I had access to anodizing but flat black high heat engine enamel may need to do the trick for now.

Thanks Vidal Wolf Lots of real estate left to have fun with.
I think I could squeeze another set of actuators on the back of the table with a 2nd 4watt laser could be a future add on.

The DMX board is noisy due to the use of pulse width modulation ( you can hear it on the you tube video link I put up) the GM20s don't like 650hz very much so I am swapping it out for a 64 channel DMX TTL board that has the option to add analog control for motors and color control. That board will not go to waste I can use it for Led light control at Christmas its 30 channels and will be fine for that purpose.

Working on the interlocks next with the Stan Wax board.
