    Default 360 Degree Camera Test

I recently upgraded my cell phone to the new Samsung Galaxy S8+. With the purchase I was able to get the Samsung Gear 360 camera for $50. This thing is really cool. It takes 360 degree photos and video using (2) 4K cameras. One facing forward and one backward. Both have a 180 degree fish eye lens. It then stitches the video/photo in real time on your phone. It can also live stream to Facebook, YouTube or the Samsung server. It will save to the SD card too if you want to use it without the phone. There is a free software download to do video editing if needed.

I wanted to try it out in a real world environment so I mounted it in my Corvette for the 5 1/2 mile drive to work. I played around a little. Lol

Here is the link to my YouTube page:

I plan to mount it to my DJI Mavic drone soon.

I'm trying to come up with a good use for it at SELEM. Any ideas? Maybe Club SELEM?

    Next... the plane!

Edit - Just saw the price. The race is on to see who has theirs delivered first - me or Buffo.

I saw that. Unfortunately not. Been thinking about switching from an iPhone to Samsung though - mainly for the better camera in the first place.

    Cool video, Chris!

Fear not, Brad... I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I am tempted though...

Biggest concern I have is that it's a very large unit to try to mount on a quad (which is what I really want to do). Thinking the wind resistance will be a major problem.
