Yes, I have a spare Motherboard out being recapped.
My understanding is all older computers need this? Or is it a Mac only thing?

Yea Buddy ! To bid the 1.25 million $ Dayton Riverscape Laser install, Ivan and I partnered up.
    John Tilp flew in.
It was just a verbal agreement to 50/50 partner, pending awarding of the Contract..
    And LFI won it.. (Grumble..grumble..)
Verbal.. Since we knew each other well, never a worry..

well, it's probably a good idea for all older computers, but the early/mid 90s macs were the worst overall... my old Apple II stuff still has original caps from the 80s without issues (except the box caps in the PSUs, those LOOOOOVE to blow)

Agreed - what a waste. Even if the hard drives were wiped, the Quadra would have been useful to some in the retro-computing crowd.

Sad to see all the content go to the landfill too. Such a shame that cooler heads could not have prevailed in this conflict. Sigh...

MixedGas told me to pull them out of the Dumpster.
I learned a long time ago, (seriously can you believe how long?!?) always do what he says. Even if it doesn't make sense at the time.. It will.

    Before this thread started,
I just inherited a large amount of non-Laserium hardware and show content from two hours East from here that runs on a beautiful new looking Quadra, and more correctly, I asked if the dumpster had a lid, was not being picked up till next week, and for a Google map of its exact location. I could make it to the dumpster in 5.5 hours. So don't trash the Quadra... Or at least don't trash the system disks that come with it.... I have a friend that uses Quadras for word processing and would not use anything else... They have a modest value to collectors, most of whom use them on a daily basis.
