    Default EtherDream 2 Firmware questions

I recently purchased an EtherDream 2 DAC to drive my Chinese RGB laser scanner.

    A few questions:

    1) The EtherDream 2 arrived with firmware version r283-42d9be7. The only version available on the EtherDream website is r269-c55ec80. Does the r283 in the firmware version stream mean that this is release 283 and that this is a more recent version of the firmware than r269-c55ec80 which is currently available at https://ether-dream.com/downloads-ed2.html?

    2) j4cbo's post (http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...ht=ether+dream) indicates that the ED 2 may one day allow us to use it as a USB DAC. Has this been implemented yet?

    3) Are there docs and source code for the EtherDream 2? The ED1 has a user guide (https://ether-dream.com/userguide.html) and Developer Manual (https://ether-dream.com/manual.html) but I was unable to find the same for the EtherDream 2. The GitHub repo (https://github.com/j4cbo/j4cDAC) seems to only have software for the ED1 and hasn't been updated since well before the ED2 was released in 2016.

    4) Can I play ILDA files a MicroSD card inserted into the ED 2? if so, how does this work?

Ping. I could really use some help with the EtherDream as I would like to use it to drive a halloween show at my house.

i suggest you use the firmware version that was supplied with the ED. there's a relationship between the ED firmware and the etherdream.dll that's used for LSX / ildsos / lasercam (assuming you are using those applications).

USB interface is currently only for firmware updates.

i would guess that the user guide for the ED1 and programming examples would work fine for the ED2. i don't believe there were ED2 specific changes to the protocol.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Hi guys! I ordered few months ago two Etherdreams on this site - https://innolasers.com/shop/index.ph...roller=product. But I can not get them. Do not tell me if there is still this company - Nautilus Integration from Cleveland with Andrew Kibler?
    Thx!

Andrew can be slow to deliver at times, but not that slow. I suspect the post lost the shipment. I would continue to email Andrew regularly until you receive the product.

Thanks, I read about this on forum. But first I had problems with customs and they mistakenly sent parcel back to Andrew. Now wait again)
