James, for me it wasn't that the menus were not in monochrome, rather it was there were so many menus, each with sooo many options to grasp and digest. Make sense?

Well alright then! I'll add the ability to switch to a monochrome menu system and let you set the rgb values in the app. BTW, I'll talk to just about anybody via voice some how. If you are international, I can use FB phone or Skype or Zoom. Just let me know. PM me here or...

This was my same experience and impression upon attempting to explore the world of "Laser Boy" and it's expressive powers. So I am also interested in better insights, like Greg is.

That was my first impression, his "yelp" was more to attract viewers/subscribers. I too, liked the fact the he spent a fair amount of time discussing and showing aspects of the importance of laser safety and laser hazards. Thanks again, Adam for your insights and personal experience with Drake.

Thanks Adam, very well stated. I haven't studied the CDRH's variance requirements in decades, probably when it was still the BRH, so much has changed. You speak with experience and authority, so my next comment is not aimed at your information, rather more towards the legal sense or...

I'd be glad to talk to you on the phone. 330 762 7137 Eastern Time usually any time between about noon and 4PM. But I would also like some record of our exploration of Liquid Math. The basic idea is that there is a set of parameters that all have default values before your text file is...

Thanks, James. Much better now. I'd like to get started with your new abstract generating programming language, but the scope of it's apparent capabilities is so vast that I'm finding it difficult to get started. Would you prefer a back-and-forth on this thread, or a phone call? Please email me...

I admit that "the old fart" in me was initially put off by Drake's over-the-top Youtube videos. But after I met him in person at SELEM, I softened my position. For one, he's not nearly so bombastic in person. Most of that is just an act to help drive viewers to his Youtube channel. Then...

Yes - they need a "laser product manufacturer's variance". To be pedantic, they also have to file a laser product report that describes the product in detail and also explains how the product was certified as being compliant with 21 CFR 1040. Yes, they need a "laser light show variance". ...

Laser manufactures need a variance to sell products. Laser show operators need a variance when doing shows, etc. Has variance requirements changed? I need to know. If he is not a manufacturer, why is a variance needed to privately sell a previously purchased laser from a manufacturer that...

I hear ya'. I'm an ol' fart, styropyro is a youngster "who likes burning stuff" with lasers, plus knowing and understanding their science. There's a few things I don't like about him but whenever I brought it up I always got a lot of flak from his fans. But I have had others agree with me. I just don't see him as most do. Doesn't mean I hate him but I've seen his dark side and it ain't pretty.

I just stumbled upon this PL thread. wow, I mean WOW. Styropyro is extremely good at making extraordinary videos that are extremely well articulated, and that keeps one engaged if not addicted when considering his topic of choice (and one that is many of our interests). An unpopulated 352 pc board and rare parts is a good thing to have, though I think undertaking to rebuild the whole 352 infrastructure might not be the best use of my time, at least in the near future. We've seen in the past year that, with sufficient motivation and resources, the abstract...

That sounds very much like a Win 32 heap overrun. It shouldn't do that in Win 64. DL the dev version again. https://laserboy.org/code/LB_04_02_2021.zip I just built the exe in Win10 64-bit. It's now in that zip.

Now, if you copy the txt files inside the txt folder in LB_04_02_2021.zip into the txt directory inside of your LaserBoy installation folder, you can open them in LaserBoy. You can also open them in any text editor and look at the script that creates each vector set you see loaded into LaserBoy....
