Being an ex-member I don't want to be there anymore but for a different reason (They didn't like me voicing my opinion about their decisions). We had a great time over there but there's a few mods who are corrupt. Really that's the only issue there. There's no trolling going on. It's pretty clean...

OK! Nice! There are actually a lot of effects that you can apply to a single frame to make an animation. Rotate is just one of them. This will take any frame and rotate it 360 degrees on each axis individually and then rotate it on all three axis from the front view all around and back to the...

Everything changes. You can now reliably receive signals from anywhere on the globe using just a few hundred mw. Ham radio does it all day. They should convert WWV to that format but not get rid of it. I'll miss the voice but hey ... http://www.arrl.org/weak-signal-modes

They jumped the gun and thought they had something that they did not have. pumping 2w to get 36mw should have been a clue. As in all innovation, time evolves success. We just got to see the really early part of something I hope is pretty special. I am betting on direct diodes before this...

I did actually play around with LaserBoy for quite a bit today. I managed to use it and bmp2ild to convert some images to play on the device. I haven't figured out how to have LB "record" an image to say, rotate 360 degrees and then play on the device, I've only been able to show the image as is.....

That's pretty close. We're off of N. Country Rd 9, near Hwy 64. But I measured today from my house to the towers and its just under 4 miles. Bummer. This petition can no longer be signed. It has been archived due to not meeting the minimum signature requirement to stay active. Only 20K...

I right there on signing the petition. Grew up listening to WWV on my dad's WWII radio receiver in Texas. Now I live less than 2 miles from the towers north of Ft. Collins. (no, it's not swamidogs old house) ;-) Fortunately, there is not the bleeding of its transmission signal (at least now).

If it is like the one I fiddled with a couple of years ago, it takes CTN files, which are nothing more than a variation of the ILDA format 0. I added features in LaserBoy to be able to make CTN files of your own art. You need to load ctn.wtf to get all the settings in LaserBoy to make it work....

Hi, I am new to this forum but have been reading this thread for the past few days as I just acquired 6 of these units from Spencers. They were display units, so some of them had some issues. I used this thread's info to help me out with fixing them such as alignment of the X & Y axis. Now all but...

You can also do this in the LD2000 style abstract generator. I believe you can map the FM of X and Y to different midi inputs like on an APC20. You can set the limits too. For example, X and Y can be set to have a limit of .01hz to .10hz over the range of the sliders (these limits can be set to...

It was a non-event at my house and we had power the whole time. But at work, Nothrop Grumman Synoptics, we lost power for about 4 hours. That means all of our crystal growth stations had to be turned off. So anyone waiting for some high end laser crystals could be impacted. It takes a couple...

Nice score! Especially since all you had to do was glue the mirror back on. BTW, if you haven't already made a more permanent repair, 2-part epoxy is what is normally used to hold those mirrors in place. Hot glue is probably going to fail sooner rather than later. There's nothing...
