I actually did this back when I was just starting out and got my first oscilloscope with a Z-input :) https://allenwp.com/blog/2020/04/28/quirks-and-limitations-of-the-presonus-studio-26c/

Grix is on this forum, he's the creator of the Helios DAC. Perhaps he could come up with a higher sample rate version of his product. I've been meaning to ask about that myself. Dean

The output filtering is definitely more aggressive on 1-2, it's like looking at a totally different DAC pair than 3-4. Then there's that 93uSec shift between the two pairs- I've seen multiplexing DACs that have small time shifts between channels, but such shifts are only a fraction of a sample...

Thanks, Steve, I’ll give that a shot. …what issue(s), specifically, does your PreSonus Studio 26c not have?

Try a 600 ohm load resistor at the end of your cable. My P-26 does not have that issue. Steve

Thanks, Greg! Yeah, I think I might need to go down this route. My hope was that I could use something with a stable and simple API/SDK that I could simply plug into a USB port on my computer, similar to my ASIO DAC (and also similar to ILDA DAcs, I presume)... But something custom might be...

So here's the sort of output I get from my PreSonus Studio 26c on output line 2 and 3: The input samples were as follows: 1 // High 1 1

Hey folks, many years since my last post, just dug out all my old laser stuff to have a play. I have a RGB laser. Medialas software and dac, it was working years ago but the pc sort of caught fire a bit and so it has been a few years since I did anything. The laser works on it's internal patterns...

Hello. I have a pulsed fiber laser 20w that fiber cable is cut and missing. I have the optoisolator-collimator that is to the other end of fiber cable. Where can i find replacement optic fiber cable ? What equipment needs to cleave and splising it? Can use the laser source without fiber cable...

The CSX projector had five scaninng heads. The four traditional RYGB pairs with the colormod system, and a fifth RGB scanning pair for content such as Kandinsky. The two 24 track ADAT shows I have, which are Dark Moon and Visions, have tracks with signals for all five scan heads. The Moon show,...

Free if anyone wants these old glass epoxy metrologic HeNe tubes, obviously not working. Also an AOM which worked last time I used it twenty years ago.

The official one projector Kandinsky can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmonrUilsh0 This is a great piece of art, but it looks WAY better with the four projector sync offset scheme. I don't think Mercury Blues is viewable on line.

For what I'm doing, I find the one higher quality projector and three somewhat larger spot on screen projectors is unnoticeable most of the time, but occasionally adds depth when single channel RGB content is played on four projectors with slight timing offsets per channel. Examples where I use...

Thanks Roj, TARM does indeed look like a good option, which I'll keep in mind. I have on order a Laserworld DS-2000RGB MK4. Daniel at Laserworld gave me a discount and was able to lower the price slightly more by not including the mechanical shutter, which I don't need.

The matching and tuning cap for the RF load on most of the RF excited aluminum tube lasers is (well used to be) under the fill port in the laser head, so to tune it properly you have to let the tube up to air. It is RF, and the load does need to be impedance matched. They should be close, but...

So after a bit of messing about swapping RF modules around, I managed to get about 8W out of the spare tube. I think, if I fixed the driver that has the blown MRF150 in it, it would be a bi better, as I don't think the earlier revision drivers do quite so well. Anyway, it's back on the machine...

I think I see what you mean. For laser scanners, a ridiculously high sample rate has no value, but laser diodes are instantaneous so you can modulate colors into the RF range. Think of how an analog TV works- the scan rates are not all that high, but it takes several MHz of BW to get a sharp image.

Nuisances I’m talking about are purely hardware; the software works great and it’s clear that the hardware is operating at a full 192 kHz. It’s not a generic USB audio device, it has its own drivers, including ASIO drivers, and there’s not any difference between WASAPI Exclusive Mode and ASIO in...

Nope. What I was looking for was an app called Laseriods posted by Zoof on this forum back in 2008. Laseriods was written for use with the EasyLase laser DAC which is now obsolete, but you can swap out a dll file and fake it into running on a DC modified multi-ch soundcard. ...

Is this the one you were thinking about? I actually used some of Seb Lee-Delisle's thoughts about sorting objects to reduce the travel time between shapes in my oscilloscope rendering engine, but found out this was a bad idea in practice. I'll describe why: Let's say you draw four objects in...
