I'm glad John could help you out! I've had some business dealings with him, most recently a temporary variance for an art installation in NY (very complicated) and they've all gone off without a hitch. I'd definitely do business with him again.

I'm not quite sure why the claims that I bought my son a Mercedes using Pangolin money is being brought up again on Facebook, but apparently that narrative is being resurrected. I really don't participate on Facebook very much any more, because of all of the vitriol that is found there -- plus...

When I first tried the 'echos' effect I did it using option n (apply function effects by name) and it crashed, but when I selected the 'o' option and chose ild output and selected 6 (ild...

I don't know where you are in Texas but, there are several forum members around the state. I would HIGHLY suggest connecting with one of them and seeing if they'll bring a projector to a venue where your band plays to give you an in person, example of what it visually looks like. I think you may...

The standalone price for a C506 Mach DSP is $500 (there are some differences between C506 and Saturn version, and between 15v and 24v). For a PL member I would be happy to swap the boards to make them compatible.... By the way, the new (as in the last couple of months) Kvant H Bridge amp is...

Hi, does anyone have some experience with the polygon scanner assemblies from laserprinters ? Most of them are very slim, and I would like to land a multimode beam on them. So I'm looking for polygon mirror assemblies that have a aperture at least 4mm high. There are lots on ebay and Chinese...

Okay, finalized the deal with the new Scanner Max galvos and now for a game plan. Currently you see the laser in the pictures in this post. I just want to get an understanding on how to do this. Just a few questions. I can basically bypass all the current circuitry for the current galvo...

Hello there. I've recently been looking into the Wicked Lasers Lasercube, and it seems like a great buy especially considering its price and capabilities. However, that little thing is a Class IV laser and outputs wayyy too much power for my prospective applications. I was hoping to use it at...

Probably the wrong thread for this but; is there any way to get a price quote for matching older galvos to a DSP amp? I imagine if it is anywhere near the cost of a new set, it probably wouldn't be worth it to send existing galvos back swap out the photodiode board. The reason I ask is, I have a...

DOGN code port update: Somehow I overlooked a fifth routine in the source listing. The routine is TPOP, or triggered popcorn, which is separate from POPCRN, which can be seen in the data format. Each DOGN routine produces four xy offsets per call, so I added more movable object blocks to show this....

I see what you mean. I remember examples of both situations you mention. I'll post the documentation page (originally from your archive) for the static offsets. I have found the code that uses four bits per position to create these offsets, but they are just offsets, so I don't need to port that...

Thank you for clarifying, Ryan. I knew my numbers were probably off a bit but I was sure that I had the main bit correct in that the older galvos were probably not compatible with DSP amps "as is".

Greg, Again, from my memory, we usually used the dogloids on their own as images. Rarely did we ever impress (add) an image to them. They tended to be smallish when projected. On the other hand, you often wanted an abstract (or cartoon) to pong (or brownian, or etc.) around the dome, hence you...

Copy and Pasted from another thread, just to consolidate info for anyone looking. Some differences over the years: As for Old vs New scanners - Original C506 was what we call "standard" coil with 2.8Ω coil. At some point in late 2014, we came up with the 1.8Ω coil for drivers which were...
