Just for the record, James was my 1st go to for a DIY ILDA op amp solution. Purchased 3, but never used them. IMHO, James created his own karma by choosing to become my personal troll on PLF. No regrets. In fact, it was James, who inspired my signature, beneath every post. It was Hankllyodright,...

Tried to take a photo but I blew up a transistor I think. One side of my power supply goes into overcurrent mode. I need to fix that side of the circuit channel 1. Now the interesting thing. The noise/ripple on the remaining channel 2 seems to be gone. The line on the wall looks clean and I...

That looks nice, Kevin. Can you post some photos of the images with ripple? Are you looking at "the image" from the laser scans or from the Position feedback signal? Lots of things can cause the high frequency ripple, such as a poor cable shield Ground on the differential position signals...

Thank you all for your help on my quest for a scan amp. I got a very old closed loop Gary Statler scan amp working and the images looked really nice. It's very similar to the laser images LM22SDA. So I kind of morphed the 2 and build a circuit that uses the control part from these designs and my...

What about a strobe? If set with a low and irregular cyclic rate that averages about 1 to 2 seconds per flash, that would destroy someone's sight in a dark room while also not letting them get a "lay of the land". The irregular cyclic rate also prevents them from anticipating each flash by closing...

I'm on the the lookout for a laser harp controller if anyone is selling one. Preferably the Genesis laser harp system by Harpelaser.com. My kit built one died on me earlier this year.

I still use LivePRO with both an FB3SE and FB3QS. The licence is tied to the FB3SE and FB3QS is used as a second output. Just before Pangolin dropped LivePRO one of the updates was to make in compatible with FB3QS DAC's. I am running the last release of LivePRO 5.50.725.2024. Just make sure...

I think his point was that you can use a bright DLP video projector to safely startle and disorient an intruder while also using it as a video projector to display whatever video effects you might enjoy. Although to be effective, the DLP projector would have to be powered up all the time. Not...

Most SELEM veterans will recognize the heavy Ashley FET-2000 amps that I use each year to power the JBL JRX-125 cabinets that are normally set up in "Club-SELEM". I got these amps from Paul Berthot (Clandesty), by way of David Zurcher. (DZ was thinking about buying them from Paul, but wasn't sure...

David Zurcher's Audiolaze unit can create effects similar to these. It accepts line-level audio and feeds it to 8 separate band-pass filters. Each band has a gain adjust (to set the "trigger" level for that band) and 3 switches for mapping the output signal to the red, green, and blue color...

That's interesting. I assumed that the newer FB3QS hardware was was more or less the same as the original FB3SE unit, with the only difference being that the newer units were smaller due to some component miniaturization and the removal of the DMX output and compact-flash memory card reader. But...

Hey guys, Apologies if already posted. I used to have an older FB3SE with my licence for Livepro. However, it was stolen many moons ago . I’ve been using a newer FB3QS with Quickshow, but i still miss livepro, as that’s what i learned on. Pangolin say that the FB3QS won’t run with...

27 ohm, 5%, 25ppm/K Carbon resistors aren't stable. They don't stay at their rated resistance.

This looks like a carbon resistor. Using both 2 wire and 4 wire resistance measurements I get 35.5 ohms. The color code looks to be red purple black gold yellow or the reverse. Which does not match the measured numbers. Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

It was called Foreplay because that was the music title. We actually mostly used it as an encore. The opening wasn't a star, it was an audio modulated squished squiggle (maybe it was a highly modulated star?). I seem to recall that in blue and there was a red dot in the middle.
