What general rules and equations can I use to determine how small I can and should go with the diameter of the straws and how long with their length before I achieve worse or same results than if I hadn't? I hope those of you who have built the bigger laminar flow screens did it based on more than...

It's shame that DTR has no anymore the M462. All of my lasers equipped with those. Now I have to buy some 9mm diode mount in case of blue diode fault.

I know in US there are reasonely priced options for refilling like photovac but no in europe. If i send one tube to US for refill with shipping costs/insurance & customs will cost more than to get new coherent/iradion clone from china that i have tested and is the same quality as original. And you think there are not vacuum sensitive chemical layers in some of these tubes that aid in catalysis and regeneration? They get put together in clean rooms and glove boxes for a reason. ~ Yes, there were a few RF co2s made with valves. Then the goal was to eliminate the valve by changing...

Nice job, Adam. Everyone is a newb at the beginning and this answers several of a laser-newb's first questions that he/she is probably too embarrassed to ask. It also serves as a nice primer for people coming from the lighting industry that may have not had prior exposure to laser projectors. ...

RF tubes use a much different gas mix then premix.. The OP invested around 10,000$ in hardware to be able to do this. As have I for other types of lasers. ~ I suggest you have a professional fill your RF lasers, as a bottle of the required purity of Xenon alone costs 700$ in most of the world....

I am fairly saturated with argon lasers. However, if your friend has a power supply for a Lexel 88, I would be interested in a trade. I don't know what the relative value of the HGM Elite to a Lexel 88 PS. However, if he has one perhaps we can come to an equitable trade. The other option is...
