Thanks for taking the time to respond. We have made some headway at least by gathering information. Essentially all I have to work with is the elevator motor, and a hidden cable from that motor to some location at the top of the elevator, or in a cable run through a pipe in the concrete floor. I...

laserist has a good suggestion for ash enterprises. I know there were similarities between the earlier Spitz A4 and the Spitz 512 elevator story I posted here, the primary difference being that the 512 updated to using digital control signals that enabled pre-programmed motion sequences. The...

Can you share an example of what you are talking about? I did a search for DLP beamer and did not find much. There was one item on Amazon for $3,000+ https://www.amazon.com/Projector-Portable-Proyector-Beamer-Support/dp/B0CPCY6YQV And what do you mean by hypnotic animations? I'm not trying...

... better use a DLP-beamer - no laser-hazard and you can easily either simulate "laser-beams" oder some weird, hypnotic animations >:) Viktor

I have an idea for using lasers to make burglars uncomfortable should they break into my home. Or distract them enough to make it hard to rummage through a room. And of course, I don't want to do any ocular damage. But I have no idea how to effectively do this. My first thought was to buy a DJ...

I haven't been able to access PLF for over a week, while others have. ISP couldn't connect neither and suggested I contact this webmaster. Emailed admin, who asked for a tracert report, which timed out midway for 2 days, until just now. I see from others' posts that it wasn't only between my ISP...

contact Ash Enterprises. www.ash-enterprises.com They do service on lots of the old Spitz projectors. As you can see it's a chain lift. There are limit switches in one of your photos - all gunked up. I doubt you can get it working, but if you can hook onto the sub structure (in multiple...

I was drawn to this site by a discussion about a Spitz Star Projector on a lift or elevator crashing into the covers. What I am seeking are similar to hens teeth. I live in Roswell, New Mexico, and a few weeks back we had a flash flood that destroyed the Roswell Art Museum and the Roswell...

The key to troubleshooting is to understand the thing you're troubleshooting. Laser projectors are rarely very complex. There are two galvos, scan amp(s), a dmx board, laser drivers, laser diodes, and power supplies. The problem you're fighting is scanner related, and might be in on axis, but...

Does anybody have a manual for the Rofin/Coherent DC025? Or know where I can get one? I’m mainly looking for the details on how this slab laser is interfaced with a Cnc table.

The drivers have and input, output, and a power connection. The galvos connect to the output AND ARE MATCHED TO THE SCANAMP - that's why I specifically wrote: (Do not swap the outputs to the scanners.). The input connects to the ILDA connector - perhaps via a dmx board or something. The power...

In your first videos it looked like you had a sine wave superimposed on the y axis. An open ground could do that. If you were projecting a square the y axis looked like the gain was low also. What's going on depends on the details. I'd swap the x/y inputs at the scan amps to see if the problem...

@Photonlexicon used a nice solution that he shared with me. I thought I had posted this before (maybe I did but I couldn't find it so here it is again. I used this "inverse" of the slotted can solution with both G115 open-loop and G120PD closed-loop scanners. No question it worked best with the...

The Mark IV & Mark VI projectors used a big old non-feedback galvo that looked like a G330 for chopper. The Mark IV used the same galvo for scanners. The chopper was a slotted can. It was relatively slow with soft edges. If I was designing something today I'd make it capable of higher speeds and...
