Always the gracious Canadian gentleman, Sir. Thank you. Poor choice of wording on my part, not intended to sound snarky nor offended. More of a realization that my suggestion (in reference to your previous question about pursuing a live control system) was irrelevant to your more recent stated...

Hello all, I have a Laserscope Aura that I currently have in bits - I appreciate the rules on big greens and happy to speak to someone privately. If this post is too detailed, I can remove it. The LCB is dead and I have no way of replacing / calibrating / setting up, so i'm attempting to put...

Roj: I get the sentiment you are invoking with Ramble on. I love that song. I don't mean to suggest your offerings are meager. I am impressed with the descriptions of your midi based system, and I expect you are correct in suggesting my system could benefit from following a similar development...

I apologize for presuming that you were a guitar enthusiast instead of being a professional performer. Your modesty conceals your accomplishments well. Alas, my meager offerings are of little use for achieving your goals. "Leaves are falling all around It's time I was on my way Thanks to you...

That's a big question to come down on one side or the other of. I practice classical pieces and it gives depth to the rock and roll. But when a show settles, and I'm creating segues between callbacks because the audience is dancing, and I can stall and dig, and then prolong with false endings, and...

The scannermax are really very interesting but unfortunately, especially with the DSP AMP, they are not within my hobby range in terms of price. I would be very interested in EMS 4000 or DT40 /50 scanners. Greetings Thomas

Greg, I'm sorry if you misinterpreted anything I said as a suggestion you abandon ANY of the brilliant work you have done so far! I was just commenting on one of the reasons (not the only one) Laserium chose live performances over recorded performances (aside from the fact that it was not...

Interesting. I'll have to chew that over to find the lesson there. Photo is off topic, but for the record, The five members of the classic lineup signed my copy at Sam The Record Man on Yonge St. about 20 years ago. Roj: Cool time limited story. You must have been in heaven during that time. By...

i have a few (4 to be exact) like new flexmod p3 drivers. these were the gold standard a while back. they have analogue modulation and a ton of safety features. iirc these drivers were so safe you could hot swap diodes on these things. i'd sell them for $30 a pop if interested.

Brian, Ron, It seems that you would both speak against any plan to make any of the restored content seeable by the public. Fair enough. You know best. Is there anything else you'd like to see me do? Should I set all the restoration aside and develop a toolset for multichannel live laser art? Should...

Those lasers are crap. At least the couple I had did barely 10mw and the beam was nasty. Any luck on the pinout? if I get a chance I can look inside mine. I’ve had the cover off a few times to tune the laser. Didn’t help.

Thanks for the link! I might pick one up although the problem wasn’t with the driver but with the laser diodes after all.

Olympus (and others) fiber feed for a confocal microscope over the light feedback sensor.. Probably get a nicer beam if you pop that off and remove its focusing lens. Four screws on the silver bracket. There should be a light sensor under the round cover the bracket is bolted to. ...

Picture of power supply panel and head please... PSU probably made by a contractor Martek Power, rather then Melles... I need to find 20 year old notes, if I still have them. Martek power was bought by Eaton. Eaton Martek may still support you. Melles was bought by IDEX Corp.

Pangolin's Scannermax's Compact 506 scanners are small, reliable and have excellent performance in the 30Kpps range and up to 40Kpps if you pair them with the MachDSP. They aren't cheap, though. -David

My favorite low power driver remains the SimpleDrive by X-Wossee/Vladimir. I can't recall what his handle was here in PL. BBE maybe? Anyway, the SimpleDrive came in several power versions that you'd match to your diode's needs. This specificity allowed better fine tuning of bias/zero-balance...

Hello, I am looking for a good and affordable galvo set for my hobby projector. I have currently installed a PT40 set but I am not very satisfied with the linearity. I got a very old EMS3080 set on loan from a friend, which has much better output but is slower. A friend of mine uses the EMS...
