Hi everyone. I'm looking to buy some IP65 moving heads. Ideally not huge and heavy ones. 2nd hand no problem. I'm talking with 2 companies at the momemnt (Artfox and rainbowlights.cn) but it's slow going. Artfox are pretty good at answering and I like their light it's just so big and...

Glad to hear the AD633 rotation circuit is working. That is a fun and exciting circuit, not previously available, to my knowledge. Thank you laserist. You should get an award for your drawing. Kevint: Did you get the continuous turn sin cos pot supplying the rotation signal? I haven't tried using...

So I have two Synrad lasers, one a J48-2SW ... I assume 25W device, with a pair of RF board containing a single MRF150 ... one of these boards is broken, FET missing, output cap missing, etc. but the tube itself is believed to be good. The other is a similar, older, G48-2 25W tube,...

Next step is for me to learn how to cut & polish fiber! Can these machines run for a short time without being water cooled or is it to risky to even turn on check them without water cooling in place first?

... best wouldbe to use the original fiber -- depending on the type and without AR-coating you wouldn't be able to use the max. power - or the end will explode ... here splicing a piece of the same fiber with already attached collimating head would help ... otherwise you have to learn high...

Agree, hopefully it is CW as opposed to pulse - I had assumed it was CW but I don't have enough info to know for sure. I suspect if it's pulsed then it's going to be hard to get up and running with no control over the rest of the electronics. I did try to find manuals, etc to see if they have a...

AFAIK there are some ten 70W@975nm-diodes used for pumping the resonator fiber. The diodes can be driven with high enough current and will emit up to around 3x the stated fiberlaser-power when combined. With some luck the type is a CW-laser, not a pulsed -- here I have a 130Watt CW-fiberlaser...

In reply to a private communication, which may be of general usefulness: See CYGN-A post #53 for laserist's original post of the AD633 rotator schematic. I can report that when I correctly built what is described here, it worked, as seen in CYGN-A post #64. Notice I used a rectangular cycloid...

Hi Dr Strobes. I see no one has replied to you but I'll say this. Buying a laser of 8 watts in power for $600 is unreal! Almost too good to be true. Over the years lasers have come down in price but that says to me it's fake or such poor quality it will be laughable. I hope I'm wrong. ...
