I have literary no idea of the value, but the riya multibus controller with LCD is in perfect shape, and the lasershow express basic comes with a transferable usb stick, so you can use it on any computer you want. So make me some offers! The multibus pro supports ilda, ethernet connection and usb...

I have not had much time to test this but I did end up getting it pulled up on the software but I am not sure what it was doing but what it displayed showed nothing similar to the what it was supposed to. I will try to look at it some more shortly. Thank you all for you input and knowledge on...

Alrighty! Thanks for the replies, also, awesome projector! I like how the wood looks with the electronics  Since I already soldered connectors ( not db25 though ) I think that I can just solder it onto the connector itself, so I have something to do while the other parts arrive :p I...

I wanted to give another update on the LED-Engin and the star 365nm on the Star mcpcb, they seem to not be available Digi key any more but Mouser has the current generation of these LED's and have higher output power and are cheaper, 13 bucks!...

Hello I dug out my 1 watt DPSS laser and was wondering if any one knows which trim pot controls the pump diode current and I misplaced the info on who made this laser and the output is around 800mw and there is no feed back path for laser power. I would love to know if anyone has data on this...

Building them is the fun part and mine originally just had one color and scanners that could not even draw a square correctly but updated stuff along the way, I built it on hobby birch plywood and named it "Hack Job" it's now single mode lasers, Bbe's simple drive modded for max of 500ma drive...

US Patent 5,940,419 by XIE pretty much covers the history of internal cavity CW frequency doubling and much of the things that can go wrong. He covers most of the solutions that are used. I have one very nice little ~150 mW DPSS "L" cavity laser on my bench right now that I detuned the KTP as...

I've hit 52-55% MEASURED conversion to 532 using BBO on a brand new flashlamp pumped Q-switched yag at 10 Hz 7 nSec. KTP in the same system would die a horrible death due to self adsorption. Best I've ever seen on KTP was 60% when pulsed. Much depends on the cavity design and pulse width, ie...

Its to protect the actual driver not the laser itself. Manufacturers instructions for multiple RGB modules (like the one I have) specifically say not to switch power to the driver on and off quickly as it could damage the unit (not the lasers). that's exactly what happens, ANY fault...

I disagree that this is a necessary feature to protect the laser. On a loss of DC power the driver shuts down and there's no current to the diode. When the DC power comes back, if there already happens to be a modulation signal applied to the driver it will start sending current to the diode...

A "showcard" is a playback device that generates the analog X and Y signals and color modulation signals for the projector. Normally a showcard is installed inside a projector and simply reads frames and animations that are stored on either an SD card or an internal ROM. A DAC (also called a...

Look at ot this way, IF you are switching DC power and the laser is on, when you turn it off you need a pause else you would be able to click the shutter button quickly causing damage to the laser module driver(s) There is still the possibility of turning it ON and back OFF quickly but can only...
