Just wondered who is behind them? The US version of Companies house shows no results, presumably because they're a small business. The street address comes back to what appears to be a registered business office:...

make a zone with a gradient bam? or use a brightness effect based on X or Y or radial position and make the section to be masked black? this can also be put on a zone as an effect.. depends if you want it to pertain throughout the entire show.

was a fairly early adopter when the printers were more expensive and the reprap project was in an early stage.. my 3D printer was of steel rods and laser cut wood.. which wasn't that strong and able to rust but it worked! Eventually i build another one and rebuild the old one a bit.. glass heated...

It's pretty fragile. I'll decide if I want to chance it just before. The parts took over 100 hours to print. assembly took a few months. The push rods are all hand formed metal. springs handformed. THAT was not fun. Here's what I REALLY wanted to do. ...

Actually that's exactly what I was thinking. :) I've seen a few videos on Youtube, but they were from well-financed content creators with lots of subscribers and millions of views on each of their videos. It definitely did not look easy. Curious how the assembly process went for you? Adam

I haven't tried that one yet, but based on a quick peek it looks really nice. I've enjoyed Raw Data a great deal even though the setting isn't nearly as photo-realistic. First-person shooters are already well-represented in VR, but I'd like to see the technology used for other games. Imagine...

yes I do. I'll have to find them or i'll just take new ones. It's not what you are thinking. It's functional in the sense all the parts are there but it's plastic. You turn the shaft by hand and the valves and such operate. no oil no gas.... I wanted to do a metal one that runs but never got...

From the first link in the first post above: "No one seems to realize that the well-known "Rainbow Hologram" technique can also let you produce holograms which are not based on optical interference at all. This makes it possible for you to create holograms where the "interference fringes" are...

I was completely unaware of the existence of scratch-holograms. This is really interesting! So how wide would the scratches be from the point of a compass needle as described in the first post? I would imagine they would be quite a bit wider than 30 microns at least.?. If so, then a laser...

I agree whole heartedly with this. It's a shame that we only have stereoscopic displays because we'll always be limited by that. I halfway agree with this. The problem I see is that with VR, there needs to be so much more than just 3D visuals. The graphics are immersive and I will admit,...

Agreed, although I'm at a loss to come up with another solution for 3D apart from a stereoscopic display. While the idea of capturing an interference pattern in a hologram to create a true 3D image is sexy as hell, I can't fathom a technology that could create such an interference pattern in real...

That's the bit I'm struggling with and wonder if it's why the original company folded. Why do you need a mat and a projector when you can simply project the whole game into a pair of VR glasses such as Pimax or Occulus? Maybe this is an attempt to produce a cheaper version of VR by using AR and...
