Show us your Probe, Brad! Show us your Probe! :):p Yes and of all the revisions of the D60 over the years, this is the "most desirable". The narrow spring pad width allows clearing larger tires without rubbing on the springs and inboard frame mounting of hangers. It has kingpins rather than...

Nice project! Post some updates during the rebuild. I'm not an offroad guy, but even so, Dana 60's are legendary. They use them a lot on Powerblock and other 4x4 shows. My current vehicle project is restoring a 94 Probe GT. Just replaced all the suspension front and back. Next is steering rack...

Picked up a new front axle for my big YeeYee shit box yesterday. $1800 for axles, and I only need one of them (the second was free and basically scrap). Going from a 1979 Ford F250 Dana 44HD to a 1979 F350 Dana 60. Basically the 'holy grail' of front axles before going to military surplus parts,...

I've been looking into XY2-100 support in the Ether Dream and think I have a plan, but would need some hardware to test with. Does anyone have any XY2-100 hardware for sale for cheap? A scan head with a broken motor but working electronics would be fine as long as I can stick a 'scope on the output...

It looks like it may be a dye laser? Maybe flash pumped? I see 2 covers on the end near the lens, those maybe flash tubes. Not sure. I bet Steve could elaborate on it.

There is a band from right here in my home town of Akron Ohio called The Acid Cats that are keys, bass, drums, trumpet and tenor sax. What they do with time, meter and composition is off the hook. I've seen them live several time over the years and they just keep getting better. I would say that a...

I have often said that just about everything in music was done by about 1980 or so. All popular music since then is just a rehash of stuff from the early sixties to about 1980. I often wondered where could music go? What is left to do? Well look up Clown Core on youtube.

Gave this a whirl the other night and followed your instructions. I managed to get the laser a little brighter but I think I overdid it at the start as the laser would shut down, turn on, shut down in 1 second cycles. I powered it down and backed off on the variable resistor and all seems to be...

I have largely replaced my flexmods with lasertack drivers. Yes, they are certainly not the cheapest but damn, they are rock solid. I would agree, flexmods are on the way out. Yeah they work but they'll be phased out through attrition.

Home at last. All the parts needed to build the CYGN-B have been mustered. Also, a real unpopulated CYGN-B board has been made available for reference. Also the stereo DACs for the C64 to poduce DOGN signal are here. Any shipments waiting my invite now have it.

Love that old-school vibe... Glass tubes are sexy! :) That being said, my wife is unlikely to allow me to have any more ion lasers in the house. Seems she's still salty about the hole in the couch from 12 years ago... Remember: always use an appropriate beam block when firing an HGM5...

Ugh - reminds me of a show I did outside of DC. Was able to keep the rain out of the Lexel 95 supply, but not out of the temporary 3-phase distribution panel we had set up. Blew a breaker in the middle of the show and got bit trying to reset it. 208 hurts! I understand the appeal of this...
