Hi there, I'm actually busy making different types of "Quantum-dots" in my basement - have actually some from pure materials: iron, carbon, silica ... and in different solvents: oi, Octadecene. All of them emit yellow green, or green-blue oder even "white" light, when exitated with 405nm UV...

Recently I purchased a q switched 532nm qg500 head. i was wondering if anyone had pin out or driving information for them. There's some information available on crystalasers website and i was able to find pin-outs for similar crystalaser dpss lasers but many of the wires on that were unpopulated....

For a while now I've been trying out different ways of playing 8-channel WAV files from an Ether Dream. Implementing firmware support to play them off an SD card is easy (it's not much different from playing an ILDA file), but the big question becomes, what about the audio? A show isn't much fun...

Hello, new to the forum sorry if I am posting in the wrong spot but I was wondering if maybe someone could help me. To start off I'm not new to building CNC machines and such. I've built allot of c02 laser, routers, printers whatever it is I've probably messed with it somehow. So, to start off I...

I still have my dongle and .Lic file even the last good update ( 2015 ). But I cannot find, anywhere, my installation...

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a show called "The Garden" (backing track "Children" by Robert Miles): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TNbjeuJWxk&t=4179s It's a 90s show that was available for the Vidal playback system. Growing up this show was super common, in fact a local swimming pool...

Greetings Chums, I'm having a clearout of all my Lasery stuff and would like to find a new home for this RGB projector. I purchased it from another member a few years ago and never use it now so it's time for someone to grab a bargain (methinks). At the last LEM I attended it was measured as...

PM me with an email address. There is a difference between what a VCA, 2Q and 4Q multipliers can do. I want to send you a schematic to try. Switching between AM and multiplication is a thing. Basically, I want to show you how to multiply cheaply with common components. Steve

Interesting. Yeah I see that now that you mention it. That is the phase shifting. For phase modulation, I guess analog multipliers would be needed? Attached is a note on pm cycloids.

Variable phase is done by adding an OPAMP buffer or unity gain inverter each to 0' and 90' phases and hanging a single potentiometer off both outputs, and the wiper slides from phase to phase. There are other ways, such as vcf lowpass or bandpass , but this is a start. Steve

I removed the video. On second thought it seemed kind of tactless to publicize rude cycloids. The interesting part was seeing the image evolving with dials turning at the same time. The screen shot in the previous post shows the phase modulation function. I'm not sure how common the phase...

Very cool. Loved the transitions :13 - :29 and 1:30 - 1:50. The last one reminds me of stylized, sauntering walking legs from the waste down.

I've watched this project on YT, from X/Y stepper motors 🙄 to this point. Suddenly, this young enthusiast is an authority on galvos, ILDA file standards, IDN, ArtNet, etc. Very impressive recent progress from ground level up, with lots of potential, admittedly. But the PCB is very similar to...

Many hours since last update spent removing legacy show specific code from the multabela software and creating the work flow for the various data layers of iterative content creation. Also, a useful feature added to the cyc cycloid generator which permits a simple script to control the virtual...
