I posted this in the “ Help “ area….because I need someone…or many….to help build something I have in mind….A digital clock display…H:M:S…..which has my Red/Pioneer 112 ( THANKS KAZ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) incorporated as a “ Visual Chime”…..yes…I know…you can’t “ Hear “ photons…..none the less…you can sure see ‘em !!!!!!!!....and…..I like seeing them !!!!!!! Humor me….read on !!!!

This is just a novel clock idea….I like clocks….and I really like lasers !!!I have built several Nixie display clocks !!...But this time….I want purchase a digital clock unit….with hour: minute: second display….standard 7 segment LED display….and electronically sync it to the digital output. I would like have the laser fire up for 2 seconds every minute….at 00 seconds…AND have the laser fire up for 1 minute….at the top of every hour !!!! The laser output beam would terminate within the display case…possibly….after several beam bounces…..and end into a diffraction grate ????

I calculate….that at 7500 HRS MTTF….. the display would fire for 17.123 years at the above laser on times….unless the duty cycles lower the MTTF ?????

I know just enough about electronics to give the illusion that I know what I am talking about ….for like 10 seconds !!!....So….PL….I need some help….or…I will pay you to build the circuit !!! SSR ??? IC latch ??? Can this be done ???? Crazy idea ?? maybe !!
But….I would like to see such a unit !!!!! ANY help is appreciated !!!!

THANKS !!! CDBEAM / BoB
