Can you get on a list - Customs

Ok this is getting crazy, but I am curious can ya get on some sort of list where all your international packages are flagged or held for anal inspection?

I have the joy of sharing a name with someone already on the no-fly list makes it a joy to take airplanes.

Just so odd I have on average a single international shipment come in to me a month, for about the past year every single one has gotten that special hold and takes up to 2 weeks to be cleared.

Also one of them from UPS I have just received a bill for $80 in extra fees and storage charges, brokerage fees etc for a shipment I received in July.

This seems mostly to apply to express shipments, TNT DHL UPS FedEx. Standard mail seems to roll through the normal snail mail. Just getting tired of paying for express to have it held for weeks waiting on customs in some cases.

This was never the case in the past it was like clock work 3 days from china and a guy was knocking on my door. Thinking ill try a different shipping addy and name for my next up coming order and see.

Am I just buying into conspiracy theory's or what.

Bummer. What did the guy do ? (who has the same name as you)

Is his name Polished Balls?

Not much you can do to get off it, either.

As for flying:

You can file an appeal with TSA, they will give you a number you submit to the airline when you want to fly.

Don't feel bad, I could not get hired for a year because some private database firm said I had no Degree.
A very kind Human Resources person decided not to believe that I would lie on my Resume, and told me about it.

One trip to the University Registrar's office, and the words "This is a business matter, I can ask for Treble Damages Plus Pain and Suffering" resulted in them moving very, very, very fast to issue a letter correcting the situation. I got the job the next day.

In most cases, the law has not caught up with computers.
