DMX beam show board?

I have a set of ScanPro 20's running on the standard DMX board.... not the greatest collection of graphics or shows......

While at a local club the other night i noticed that there laser scanners do some really cool beam shows.. They look to be 40mw green 80mw red.. no mixing of the colours... very basic stepper scanners....

The question i have, is it possible to buy DMX boards other than the standard one.. Really looking for the beam show one!

Thanks!
