@flecom well its not that 100$ is expensive.
But from what i've seen the ADAT's are kinda big and heavy (I think)
So the shipping would make it a lot more expensive.
A small usb sound card (if it was possible) would be a lot easier to ship/transport.
But its clear that a sound card cannot be used directly so I understand.
Will consider getting an Adat myself at some point then :)
But for now the recording offer is really apreciated.

John has everything and is working on it for you. I lent him one of my Moncha DAC's and also gave him a lot of shows to convert. One of his co-workers who is also now into lasers won Quickshow as a door prize so I gave him a bunch of shows for that too. He's got a lot on his plate right now so don't worry... it will be done for you!

LaserBoy can open waves made from ADAT transcriptions and convert them to ILDA.
Also, at the very least, you need a modified Dolby 7.1 sound card to play back the waves you capture from an ADAT tape. That way you get the stereo sound tracks! Other laser DACs might be able to play back LaserBoy waves, but they don't have audio outputs.

an unformatted wave is a wave that was not made in LaserBoy and does not have any of the LB header information or sub-code markers for frames and key frames.
Look in the [Tab] menu for item g unframed wave sample per frame. This is how many samples there will be in each frame.
When you go to open an unformatted wave you might choose option 6 reframe based on blanking. It might work depending on what DAC was used to make the ADAT recording.

thats all nice and stuff, but does laserboy also restore the original colors?
Because if your using a color pallete during capture then good luck getting red at 100% again + you always lose a bit of signal power during capture :)
I prefer sticking with LC-adat.
