The picture you posted looks slightly off. The 12 points that make up the circle look like they are in a diamond arrangement in your picture, but they should form a 12-sided regular polygon (a dodecagon). Not sure what's going on there...Quote:

Yeah, the settings for all of the pots are going to be unique to each amplifier/galvo set. You're compensating for a whole slew of variables with those pots, and small differences in manufacturing will mean different adjustments will be required.Quote:

However, with regard to the pots that are normally NOT adjusted during tuning, if you can get those pots on the original set re-adjusted to be somewhat close to the other set (which, presumably, still has those pots set correctly from the factory), then you can re-tune the original set and feel reasonably comfortable that those other pot settings are not throwing you off.
Brrrr! You live in the great white north. (And I say that as someone who grew up in Wisconsin, literally on the shore of Lake Michigan!) Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any PhotonLexicon members who live nearby. Perhaps the closest person would be Adam Bourassa in Lake Geneva, WI. (He goes by 300evil here on the forum.) This does not sound like a tuning problem. This sounds like a component that is heating up and changing it's resistance over time, which is not normal. (And could be a sign of an impending failure.)Quote:
