How heavy is the bubble glass disc? If its not too bad how about a clock mechanism with smooth second hand motion? This will do exactly 1 rpm:)

Mirrorball motor like THESE any good?
They are mostly 240v and quite chunky, but you have the space ;)

Good call Simon link does not work but you can pick em up on fleablay for a couple o' quid

Jem - I'm getting a big cross around my dot, I can only see it on low power. The cross appears AFTER the PBS cube. I powered the modules right down and placed a piece of card in front of both the maxyzs and both had nice round dots (with a bit of a faint halo). Then I put the card in between bounce mirror and the PBS cube, still a nice dot. Then I put the card straight after the PBS cube and there the cross shines, but after it goes through the scanners it dissaprears, this is normall says chuck and there are ways of getting rid of it too. I'm not going to try and focus it, I'' probably break it ....

Might I suggest a walnut finish with a clear varnish???:D Looks good mate, very "old school" as people have accused me of. Looks like it might be heavy! You could take it on the train, just tell the conductor that it is a relative!:D

Stan - p1t8ull - I think the mirror ball may be to fast but for £3 I think I can risk it. I've got a mirror (like every bedroom raver should) but its batery operated and spins quite fast 6 RMP I'd say...
I've been looking for that smooth second hand motion (since I was a kid >:)) but all seem way over priced or way to big...

The box I built is a little shody. The pics dont show it up but the joining ends dont meet complety and the screws holding the handles in are all wonky, as are the handles. I should have drilled pilot holes for the screws but I had no idea what I was doing. Perhaps I should bring my so called DAC to the meet, we can all have a good laugh at it :p

Just out of curiosity why did you decide to have the red pass through all the dichros? Considering the fact that you're using edmunds optics most people choose to have green last in line because of the lower cost per mw.
