When I bought my projector it was an opened box unit that I purchased at a reduced price after I opened it up and
took a look inside to make sure all the diodes were there, I just looked into the lenses and made sure I saw some gold
color. To get it to that stage took just a minute or two and I did it on Best Buys' service counter.
It does not look so easy with this model!

Yep it does not have a nice trap door to the diodes like the other projector but was not too bad. Just the cover, a metal cover plate and two special screws and it was able to be unplugged and pulled. The real downer is the low number of diodes and the crappy lenses.:)

Osram 1.4W PLTB450 450nm diodes now in stock. I will post up some testing info tonight.:)

If we take a look at the datasheet,
Beam divergence parallel : MAXIMUM 15°
Beam divergence perpendicular : 18 < .... < 25°
Goodbye extra beam correction ??

On your page you have listed some of the Osram's as "PLTB450" and some as "PL450B" just a typo?

PLTB450 are the 1.4W ones, PL450B are the 0.08W monomode 3.8mm ones :)

Here is a comparison. Paced out 30 feet so it could be off by a foot or two either way. Measured the line with my calipers.
