UK Meet ..anyone suggested this yet ?

My calendar tells me thats 7/8th july ?

Personally i am keen but it loooks like it needs someone near fluff to step up to the plate and possibly meet/talk on phone with him to firm up some details and report back to us all and be his buffer ... so we can call you fluffers buffer !

Its very good of mark to offer his facilities ...... FOR FREE .... space to play , lots of lasers to look and dissect .If I understand corect mark is a projector distrubuter so from pictures I have seen lots of space so it seems ideal
! with access to food and nightclub environment i cant imagine a better facilty ... so think hard ! can this opportunity be missed ?

Who else is up for going ?
Whois going to be the buffer ?

I too was wondering this although I am as guilty as any for not putting in any useful info. I Would love it to happen but would not like it to be the date suggested (8th july) as its a little too close for anyone to organise and I will not be able to make it (i have to go and watch a bunch of overpaid blokes driving very expensive cars round in circles for 2 hours in Northamptonshire).
I cannot offer the role of organiser for this but am willing to help in anyway I can once the ball is rolling to try and make this a reality.
Any more notions anyone ....

Jem/stanwax , from the replies looks like nothings happening , shame sounds like mark has the ideal facilty ..and for free ..look at the trouble they were having for salem ..heavy prices .... we really should be ashamed of oorselves for not jumping all over marks offer and taking it up with great enthusiam!

I kinda guess it would take at least 10 of us to make a meet worthwhile ?

The club I have access to can be used anytime apart from Friday and saturday Nights, for obvious reasons.

If we can fix a date, I can check the pub calender and see whats available.

I'm sure Andy from AC Lasers would come, he's only 5 miles away from me ! I may be able to persuade some laser pro's to come too !

I'll also have a new set of kit in a couple of weeks, so lots to look at.

I'm having a clearout of optics, cases mounts and diodes, so you could grab a serious deal wwhile you play :)

I'm all excited again !

AT this point EVERYTHING is provisional , this is just an excercise in seeing if theres enough numbers prepared to go , please throw out ideas and plans for the day to appraoch mark about .... IE / i think it needs minumum 10 people turning up with some form of kit to make it worthwhile ..do you beleieve it needs more / less ..any thoughts on the timings 1day/2day , a week ( only joking )

PS/To help get you salivating ..just think if we can get 10 people to turn up with kit .. some will turn up with 2/3 lasers ..lets say consrtatively thats 15 lasers and mark has already explained he had loads of kit kicking around ............. we could be talking 20 lasers in the same room here ! TWENTY LASERS ALL WITH DIFFERETN OUTPUTS POWERS ? GALVOS ?SOFTWARE and the guys who built them ! Call me a geek but this sounds like laser heaven to me !

Assuming my 'Real' job doesn't mess things up you can count me in.

I will hopefully have my projector pretty much finished by then so i can stick it in the car.
