450nm is not bad, I would just prefer them to be a little higher on the spectrum.
Ahh, I see Jordan just recently added them. Cool... with the 120mW greens, 180mW reds and these, some decent power SM projectors could be had. Yes, I know the 120mW greens are not SM but they sure act like it!
Nice. Does the nr450 refers to the max mw from the datasheet? I,m not really interested in how hard you can drive them i prefer to stay close to what the datasheet says. combining 6 would give a decent power with good specs:)
1W NUGM01T 520nm Laser Diode
Finally got some free time and did some testing of the NUGM01T diode. This is with a G-2 lens ball lens removed. As others have noted this is slightly less powerful than the NDG7475 diode but not by much. The diode seems to have the same beam profile and divergence of the NDG7475. Looking at the dye it does have one less bond wire than the NDG7475 which possibly is why it is slightly less powerful.

Here is a great new diode. 100mW 515nm Nichia single mode diode. It is a tough little guy. It can take a lot more abuse than the Osram green diodes.

Hey Jordan! Many thanks for the posts of the quick tests on the new green diodes.
In regards to the NDG4216, what do you mean its a 'tough little guy' exactly? Were you just referring to pushing it to twice its rated output or is there something more? The Osram PLP520-B1 can be pushed to 180mW (varying diode by diode) in my experience, but pushing it that far tends to decrease its life by quite a bit. It would be nice if this new arrival could handle the abuse a bit better. Its also nice that its a true single mode.

Yea if you try to push 2x the recommended current into one of the Osram green diodes get damaged either open circuit, LED or zombie. These I put over 750mA and in so far without any damage to the diode after that they dim like the other new Nichia diodes do and then come back to life as you turn the current back down.
