good price...but what about shipping, inssurance and customs taxes...

And is this including VAT? is it possible to get a invoice?

I,m interested. My quad and 8 setups finally start coming together and i will recieve the parts on thuesday. I will build them now with open cans just to see what the result is but i can swap them afterwords. I will order as much as i can afford*retardo

Hey Dave

I'd be definately up for four, possibly go up to eight

Need to balance out some blue:D

so many questions!

Shipping would be low cost. They would be sent from Australia, and can be valued at whatever value you decide on. Invoice is no problem. Insurance is no problem, but the shipment will have to be valued at full value. Shouldn't be a problem for small quantities.

I should have mentioned, if Australian sale, GST will be applicable - sorry Troy :(

Six sexy diodes for p1t8ull please :)

Hi Dave,

sorry for a little OT.

can you also get the HL63133DG diodes. It is more sexy for me. (170mW, isolated Can)

Pardini

Hi Dave

Please put me down for two of these HL6385DG diodes. That said, I would also be interested in the HL63133DG instead, if there is any possibility of a group buy for those.
Thanks
:D
Laserbiker

Ouch, 80 euro... I'm out.

i could be interested

Yes, Im very interested in the HL63133DG diodes too. Lets try something different here.
They do 170mw at a minimum of 632nm so the beam has 20mw more and the wavelenght is lower so their for more visible:D It would be great to have these diodes in my 8 setup combiner*retardo

i ould be tempted with these also dave.

Are there a 15w rgb in the binoculars? [popcorn]

List updated.

I fired off a email for HL63133DG pricing, Ill see what is come back with price wise..

Pending price I would try up to 8 of these.

Are the beam specs just as good?

"Are the beam specs just as good? "

Not my own experience, but I has read in german Laserfreak that the beam specs are comparable to the 642's.

This feels well enough for me. Now I hope for a good price.

Pardini

Pardini, Thanks you for giving the info on the HL63133DG diodes. For allot of people this could be the way to good reds. :worship:

According to the datasheets they have the same exact typical divergence. However I don't know if there is any difference in the emitter size.

it naffs me off they dont put emitter size in the spec sheets:mad:
after all its a big decider as to if the diode is any good for what ever your going to do with it

they are no good emitter size to big to make a usable beam :(
well not very easy, might do it with a complex and expensive lens setup

I understand from a good source, the HL63133DG diodes will happily run all day at 200mw :)

Now that is something i needed to hear!!!!:D So with my new 8 combiners i can make 1.6 watt of 637 ? Wait one second....... I have to clean my keyboard because its covered with drool*retardo

http://www.ofcnfoec.org/PressRelease...ReleaseID=1009

an article showing that there may be some mass production opportunity some time in the not so foreseeable future. it also mentions a 3.8mm diode doing 120mW

would it be safe to assume that the 63133 is replacing the 6385 or are we just spreading rumors?

Emitter size for the 63133's is 3x2um

Pricing for the 63133's is a bit more as to be expected.

Ill update prices in the first post :) Now this is just going to confuse the thread! If everyone can re-express interest whether it be the 6385 or the 63133 :)

forgive my ignorance, is this a good thing? I currently have a few of the 6385's, but like the isolated can of these others (since some peoples mounts aren't isolated :p )

subject to money at the time ill take 4 642nm's

i would like 6 x 642 please
but thats not 100% till i know how much xmas bonus i get but should be ok :)

Yeah, you will be able to get a nice tight beam, just like the 6385's :)

For the record, I am still interested in two of the 6385's:)
Laserbiker

If the beam on the 638/632 or whatever diodes doing 170mw is as good as the beam on the 642nm diodes I'd like 2 to start and maybe 4 depending if I can live with the color.

Thinking to blend 2 642's with 2 of these shorter wavelenght diodes. That should help me out quite a bit to balance off my 1 watt blue and 500mw green. Bet I'd need double even that to actuall match the other lasers.

I just checked the spec sheet and the 638nm and 642nm beams are identical per the sheets. Seems a no brainer to go with the new 638nm diodes regardless of the cost.

Thats what i thought. 637 is brighter to the eye and from what i understand you can get 200mw out of these. When my red module is finished i can swap the circuitboards with the open cans for 637nm ones. Would be a great mix 4 diodes 637 and 4 diodes 650nm*retardo

Count one HL6385DG for me. Thanks.:)

How do you guys think I would go with 2xLOC 660's and 2xHL6385DG in my quad?

I am measuring just under 1W from the 4x660's and I need more power to balance out my green/blue.

Do it! it would boost the red up a lot.. I think the pair of 6385's would be more visible than the whole quad LOC.
If you have a spare colour channel you can also make use of the lower wavelength and find new corners of the palette as well

Yes, one 640nm equals 2x 660nm

Agreed - we have a pair of 1w's with 300mw of 642 in them and they are that much more punchy than the 660nm lasers we have. :)

Hmmmmm. I do have a spare colour channel... I realigned the quad today, I got the stacking a lot tighter thanks to Andy's help. Now at 900mW (lost 60mW). It looks great, but when I fire up the CNI green it looks very dim!

Dave, put me down for 2 x 6385's please.

Got any pics Dave? Beam shots too would be nice.

Sorry, ignore.. wrong thread

I'll try to get a better picture (this was just from my newest build snapshots), but this is a pair of the 642's and a pair of 660's PBS separate then combines on a dichro. If you look close at the main red dichro you can see the 660 inside of the orange'r 642. I plan on trying to add a telescope lens set in that run between dichro and mirror. Also a few more red diodes.

Also I am in for one or possibly two more HL6385DG, depending on when the GB takes place.

Hi Dave

I'm in for two 6385 or one 63133 depend on how this GB goes.[popcorn]

Cheers,
Eduardo

Ill let the list build up for a while yet :) maybe mid January Ill pull the trigger.

Hey,

thanks for the interest - this will be going ahead, soon. After the other group buys have been finished up :)
