New ilda shows available...

Hi all guyz!

For sure this time the "Big Boss" Admin will cut my balls off....and he will use them as tobacco's bugs....:o

Well...

I just created into PL server (ftp://ftp.photonlexicon.com/) a new folder named Steve Milani.
It is placed at subdir: Laser Shows/Ilda Frame Shows.
Inside it I will upload all shows created by me, converted to ".ild" format. Six shows have been already uploaded. Please read the "readme now" file before use.

This way all Pangoolin "QS", "LD2000" and "LivePro" users should be able to load and to run them (I wish...).

I'm really happy to share them with all of you:D

Greetings!
(a big thanks to Admin for his huge patience...)

Steve (Stefano)

thank you ;)

(now I need to remember the password..grrr)

Oh Mr Milani.
What are you doing to me !?! :p

I've been working on a little show of my own for a while now but you seem to be able to knock 'em out as easy as farting !!

But now that you are providing the output as .ild files (instead of .lds files) it's much easier to create an approximation of what you are probably getting in QS.
Here's my interpretation of Bond Girls Remix (after I mucked about with your files).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VtK46pRWSA

Keep up the excellent work and many thanks for all your input. *retardo

Oh! Milord Soforene.... (M'lud if you prefear...)*retardo

Thanks to appreciate my show.

It would have been better to see two projectors on work, instead only one....
Anyway... Excellent job you done! Good video!

I'm really sorry knowing you lost a lot of time working on .lds files of my show....
As I written some post ago, I am an absolute Pangolin rookie.... so... I can always do errors and cocks-up:o . Please Excuse me in advance.

b.t.w......if you need some lesson about Showeditor2010..... here I am. (I'm kidding!)

Thanks a lot mate!*DZ

Enjoy!
Steve

Very good of you to share these shows Steve.
Just one thing. Can you recommend A good free program for extracting .RAR files.
I have nothing on my computer to do this at the moment.

You don't have? Naaaaaahhhhh!!!!!!
OMG!
Carl!
What are you telling me mate!

http://www.filehippo.com/download_winrar_32/

This is a shareware version, but fully working (I think).

b.t.w. you take a look also about Torrent files or eMule files... to find the "smart";) version is easier than to drink a glass of fresh water...

Cheers!

Steve, you rock! this is the largest cache of shows shared in ILDA I have ever seen! We are fortunate that you were using Laserworld show editor (based on HE-Laserscan) which allowed you to share these in high quality true color ILDA format 5. WOW! I'm sure LDS users and Spaghetti users alike will want to thank you as well.

Is there any background story about this decision?

I'd like to give back.. check for a PM about free ILD SOS and Laser Cam Pro :)

Best regards.

There's any background story :)... You have to be sure mate!

As I written you on p.m., here I come to tell in public also... I have not secrets to anyone:D:
I am an hobbist. I like lasers, I like music (I am an old Dee Jay).
The best recompense to me is to know that my shows are appreciated from friends.

Same shows I shared here on PL ftp server are also shared (as Showeditor and He-Laserscan file format) into others website.
Hobbist are hobbist all over the world. We all are a great family.*DZ
I am really proud to be a Photonlexicon member.

Yeah... I have to be sincere... Sometimes I earned a very little money playing my lasershows while weddings, celebration, dancing party, New Years Eve.... but most times I done this for free, just only 'cause a dear friend asked me.
Who knows?.... Maybe a day I will become famous....

I well know all this can seems strange.

But this is the truth, just truth only.:)

All the best

Regards

Steve

WOW Steve! These are great (excellent music too)! Thanks so much for sharing- Christmas was a little early this year!
-Mike

Thank you Steve for your work. Keep cranking em out. We do enjoy.:)

Thanks Steve for sharing your great time and work with us. I am DLing right now and look forward to cracking into QS2 a little deeper this weekend when I get some off time.
Cheers,
matt

i just LOVE IT when i see such things happening. it reassures me that the love does actually get returned. My deepest appreciation to both of you guys! It is so inspiring.

I hope i can contribute someday (already earned a lot in terms of knowledge here) and i want to give something back when my hardware and software setups are up and running. unfortunately my "pocket-flimsy-less-than-0.4w-rgv" and my i-show "package" are not up to the task yet (and i'd like to emphasize on "yet", some wheels are already turning in the darkness of my "lab")

keep it up all of you

WELL DONE!

Hi Steve,

Looking good! Your shows playback just fine when imported to Spaghetti.

It is a pity Spaghetti does not permit export of Spaghetti shows to ILDA.

Stefano,

You're like a Ian-Carey-Laser-Show-Conveyor - great works and in mass)))))

Thanks for sharing, those are really great! ;)

You are the man..... I feel like such a leach, I have only complete 30 seconds of my own song but yet have 20 + laser shows now ....... I only hope it turns out as good as some of yours : )

Thanks again .

thanks steve
you da man *DZ
i wish i was able to turn out shows like this, i stuggle to find the time to learn lds pro
thanks again

Hi all

I thought to post on Youtube a PC simulation of my beamshow "Bond Girls remix".
Master projector is on the left side looking at screen, on the right side is satellite projector.
I apologize for the lenght of video.... >30MB and for its quality...
I am not so expert video/Youtube user...:o
At the present I have any good videocamera to record from live my shows...Sorry.
I'm always hoping for a nice Christmas gift from my partner Francesca...*retardo... who knows?

Before some of you become cross-eyed person while trying to read what written is at the very end of the video (satellite projector-right screen side), here I come to tell you::)
It is written: "the Bond Girls remix - lasershow created by Steve Milani - ITALY -

B.T.W...... Hey Soforene... I told you that 2 projectors are better than one! (joke)

Greetings!:D

Steve, stunning work mate!!

Will have to put the power supply back into my projectors and watch a few of these tonight, brilliant! :)

Cheers,
Dan

You need to right click on the timeline at the bottom and select "Export to ILDA" :)

It allows projects to be exported to ILDA. It does not allow shows to be exported to ILDA because, typically, if you do not have the project you do not have the right to export it to ILDA. (IE it isn't your show to export).

Steve,
I downloaded these yesterday and they are great. Thank You so much for allowing us to use your hard work. I also want to thank you for saving them in ILDA format so the non-pango users to enjoy too.

Thank you,
Lazerjock

THANKS STEVE ! A real gift for the scene

I tried out a few of the shows in preview mode and I really liked what I saw. I look forward to viewing them all on a real projector as soon as I have some time to spare! My new house I moved into last month has room over the garage that is perfect for viewing laser shows. It's also my new computer room so very convenient! THANKS!

Beau boulot et un gros merci pour tous les shows

Tartoufion!

Continuez !:o:o

Hi Steve, first let me thank you for sharing these files in ilda.
As a spaghetti user i started right away to put them toghether and most of them work out of the box and are so nice to watch but.. i have trouble with two of the files, "It's a tricky" will load the mp3 into spaghetti but then i am not allowed/unable to add the ilda file, i just won't put it there, same for "Star Wars Sinergy". Perhaps it is a Spaghetti issue but i can't figure it out. When i select the ilda file in Spagetti i am able to play but unable to stick it to the timeline.
Other Spaghetti users who can try this?
I will upload the Spaghetti files to the ftp as well to save you a little work.

Michel,
I posted this on The Hinged Newt Forum a few days ago. Hope it helps.

"I downloaded all of them yesterday and converted them all to shows. Two of them need a little help, Star Wars Sinergy & Its Tricky. In these shows the music ends before the frames. In other words the frame file is longer than the music file. Spaghetti doesn't like this and won't let you drag the frames on to the time line. To fix this you need to add a few seconds of silence to the end of the MP3.
I also noticed that the text was flipped on a couple other shows so I just flipped all the shows. I figure this is the way they were meant to be seen even if you can't really tell unless there is text or graphics. I also rescaled all of the shows to 100%. Like Gary said it is very quick and easy to do. I did all 16 shows in no time at all.
By the way some of them are really good. If your on PL remember to thank Steve Malini for giving these away."

Thanks for posting these Steve! Just in time for Christmas. My family will enjoy watching these for sure.

As a note related to Spaghetti, you can drag an ILDA file that is too long for the space needed on the timeline by holding down the Control key. It will then chop of the ILDA file to fit. If you want to laser animation to extend past the end of the song, you'll have to add silence to the audio file as suggested above. It just depends on what you want to achieve.

I didn't know you could do that with the control key. Thanks. In this case though he will need to add silence in order to keep everything in time.

Hallo all guys!

Firstly I must to say a huge "Thank You" to all for to appreciate my shows.:)

I am really happy you like them. Things like these warm my heart.:D Thanks once more.

Well...

As I will be out from home next Christmas (I'll be in Rome to visit friends and surelly will miss me the right time to do any show)... then I thought to post today my last beamshow "The Power Of Love" sung by the wonderful Celine Dion's voice.

You can find it at the same old place on PL ftp server (laser shows/ilda frame shows/steve milani/...)

This is my way to telling to ALL OF YOU, DEAR MATES, and to all your Families...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
(even if in slightly advance...:o)

Sincerely

Steve Milani

Given me a good excuse to buy spaghetti now - I just got the final piece to the puzzle - my ilda cable

(although I DO need better scanners. These ones flicker a lot - no doubt not the 20kpps as stated on the box LOL!)

Set of DT40's and a 445 should have me viewing these ILDA files / songs in all their glory.

Thanks Steve!

Trés beau travail:)
Merci pour le partage et trés bonnes fêtes de fin d'année Steve et à tous*DZ

Take a look at my location on the profile:
I live in a small village (2,000 people about) in the North-West of Italy, named Ceparana.

April should be a nice month to visit Venice. Mind you don't forget to bring with you a jacket or a light sweater (umbrella also!)... Temperature could be crazy !:)

I apologize for this out topic....
Hey Dnar...

The name of the photo gives a small clue ...... *retardo

Hi mate, no worries.

Perth, photo taken from Kings Park! I used to make out there 30 years ago lol!

Very nice beam shows excellent stuff Thanks. I am wondering is anyone doing graphic shows any more? it seems all I see these days is beam shows I was out of this for a while. Then when I go interested again I was talking with the guy I used to own a laser show company with and he had warned me there is not much going on with graphics and abstract shows. I was looking on the FTP site and that pretty much the case as far as ILDA stuff any way not sure on the Pangolin stuff. Well the projector I currently have is really more a graphics projector than it is a beam projector but I can put lots of smoke in my studio and enjoy. Everyone have a great Holiday season and Merry Christmas.

Michael

I don't think there are many hobbyists doing graphics shows due to the difficulty of creating animated images that are interesting. The "interesting" part is the kicker.

Yes agreed there are many more hours involved in doing graphic shows abstracts intertwined help cut down the time, also with Dr. Lavas new laser cam software you can take a virtual cam and capture frames that way beats rotoscoping, tracing each frame like I used to do, that was hours and hours of work for one animation. After the holidays I will be trying to get a few done when I do I will put them up on the FTP for all to enjoy.
Man I am taking on a real challenge here well I opened my big mouth so we will see what happens. I have not produced a show since 1998 so I am a bit rusty but like the new tools so we will give it a whirl any suggestions of what music people would like to see something done to that is not out there? Hey Steve maybe Power of Love then there will be three projector tracks two beam and one graphic lets talk PM me.

for graphic shows, check out
http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...rst-laser-show.

there are more people attempting them now as the tools aren't as out of reach as they used to be, young 3D talent is finding enthusiasm here

Hello! Thank you for sharing your show! Really appreciated! But im not sure how to move them to quickshow timeline. I have quickshow, and the files for the shows are extracted to my desktop. Please help. Thanks again!

Never mind i figured it out. Beautiful shows man! You have a talent! Thanks again for sharing them
