"Hit miss engine" ?? The sound matches it's name perfectly :) What was it's purpose in life in 1916?

Hit-Miss engines were primarily used on farms, and they were used for everything. They just had a power axle which could be hooked up to saws, mills, various farm equipment, generators... you name it.
I wonder if that's what Mr. Douglas had on his tractor. That thing had a big old flywheel on the side .. and it kinda sounded like that too ..
The flywheels on this one weight is about 140lbs....its a beast to move..but not as bad as its big brother will be......lol

I think it's suck, squeeze, bang, blow, when the spark (and fuel) is on, and suck, squeeze, rebound (no bang), blow when the spark (and fuel) is off.Quote:

I used to have those plates, only it said "Ohio, The Heart of it All" on them. That was because some one actually had AR KR taken. Then I had LSRTECH for a while. But at 80$ a year it was not worth it.

I looked ot one of thoese, but after rent one of the fusions I was like oh yeah..lol yeah its only a 2.5L but with the turbo, its pumping out 280hp!! I was messing around with it on the highway and I hit 100 in 4th gear...and it has 6 gears..lol!
