Looks cool, Do you have a website? The price is a little high though.
50k is fine. Only a select few using only the highest end scanners and controllers for specific applications need speeds greater than this. Remember that most animation is optimized for 30k. There is a lot more involved with good laser animation than just raw speed. It really is an art. Get some quotes for quality custom animation some time ;)

Very colorful use of words. Yes we removed it because another company had purchased all the rights to it. The quantity they proposed to purchase was enough to license it to them. There are scheduled releases of these boards that go well into next year. We are finishing up the new revision now. The target market is not so much laser shows but instead animated theme park automation, pyro, motion platforms etc. Very similar to Gilderfluke and Alcorn McBride technology.
Yes I noticed the new system from Australia also. It is almost a verbatim of our device. I found that very interesting considering we started this design back in 2003. They use a Coldfire processor. It is a freescale device. Very nice chip that has all the math routines inside for real-time manipulations.

Sure sounds like a case of reverse engineering (or outright industrial espionage).

This product is in fact for real (I know because it is in my hands at this very moment) and I can guarantee many new exciting things will be coming very soon.
