LSX new update released

Hi everyone, it's been a long time since my last post. It's good to see most old friends still here, although a few appear to not post anymore.

I want to let everyone know that there is a new LSX update available: 20180416. This is available at your update download link that was emailed for your order. Contact me if you cannot find it.

Thank you to all whom contribute to making LSX a success, and congrats to our (growing) team of award winning artists leading the way. I have seen amazing things come from your work, and this is only the beginning.

For those looking for an alternative to ishow, the Helios-LSX value bundle is currently only $189 and blows ishow out of the water in terms of quality and capability, as do the other bundles (Etherdream and Riya). See LSX at innolasers and now on amazon.

Thanks Andrew. It's been a year since I applied an LSX update. Do we just unzip, then copy the file/folder contents into the installation folder overwriting the files/folders?

the really big thing for me is the way event duration and timing within SFX loops is now being handled. it's much more intuitive.

-Fix settings warning message if settings in the show weren't loaded from users saved settings store

For some reason with the new release updates applied to my existing Laser Show Xpress apps folder, Malwarebytes is now tagging and blocking the new ReatTime.exe as a threat, specifically "MachineLearning/Anomolous.100%", so I have to tell Malwarebytes to not block it. It did not do this previously.

Any ideas?

i've seen a lot of false positives in the past. i usually just unblock and report.

I've just updated to the new version of LSX and I can't get any light out of the projector. (Maxwell still works, so the laptop/router/DAC are still functional.) The previous version worked fine (with an Etherdream DAC) on Windows 10. I believe that I'm still running the original v0.5.0 firmware on the DAC. When I previously tried to update the DAC firmware, the last version of LSX would not talk to it. Now, I don't even hear the shutter open on the projector. Anyone else have this problem? It would be nice to get precise system requirements (OS, DAC firmware, etc) for this new version. The annoying thing is that it seems like the new version took out the old version, so I can't use that anymore without doing a reinstall.

Hey Ron,

I suggest starting by flashing the ED to the latest firmware.

I’m sleeping right now, and traveling without my ED, but I’ll be in the PL chat room tomorrow and i’m happy To work work you.

Mysteriously working again

Swamidog,

I remembered having etherdream.dll issues previously, so I tried swapping the new one out for the old (and much smaller!) version.

That did not fix it, and it destabilized LSX. I replaced it with the shipped version so everything was back to the updated versions.

It started working!

The newest update had issues. I had to rollback. If you don’t need the update stay where you are.

That looks troublesome. The version I'm using (20130401) is working great, so I'll stick with it.

need help (usb dongle lost)

I unfortunately lost my usb dongle and it is out of stock on the innolasers.com site, so I can no longer use LSX (LSX_Update_20190617 version).
Someone can help me ?
I am under Windows 10 and I also need the drivers for my Multibus Basic.

Is lsx viable in windows 10?

I've got the LSX Pro version, used it on my Win7 PC, hadn't ever tried it on my Win10 Pro until today. It won't work, doesn't recognize license file either. Is there an certain incantation I'm not using?

i have no problems with it under win10.

Thanks Chris, yes one other person confirmed they too had no issues. So my previous licensed install was not on my current Win10 CPU computer, but an older Win10 CPU not Win7. Realtime opens but doesn't recognize my .lic file in the app folder for some reason, not sure why, so I ordered a dongle from Innolasers. It has easily been 4 years since I last used, so maybe the license was device specific. Any other ideas?

It's pretty simple, If you don't have a dongle which supports moving between computers, you'll need to activate LSX on your new computer. I've PMed you the innolasers contact info.

Thanks for both your responses. New activation received and LSX is now working, dongle is on its way as well.
