Hmmm... This is strange. If I try to view the attachments while I'm logged in, I can't even click on them, much less see them.
But if I log out, then I can view the images with no problems!
This makes no sense to me, but I'll get with Spec and see if he has any ideas.
Anyway, now that I've seen the logo, I like it! :) Anyone else got ideas?

So that's the secret. I logged out and was able to see them as well. I like it. If you're conversing with Spec... find out why I can't post any jpgs. I suspect at some point, we may want a few of areas of the hall posted. I know there was some convoluted process of uploading them to a gallery or something.

Shadow: I can see the attachments in your most recent post even when I'm logged in. What did you do differently vs the first time you posted the logos?
Spec is still looking into this, but he can't replicate the bug on his end. I dumped the raw HTML from the console in Chrome for the page when I was logged in, and again when I was not logged in. The difference is *huge*. Not logged in is about 70KB. Logged in is about 105KB!

When you do a reply if you scroll down past the "post icons" you will see "additional options". In the attachments area click on the "manage attachments" box that is in bold and in grey. Then you can add files from there in the pop up window
Got it. That's how I added the waiver .pdf attachment to the SELEM Sign-up thread.
So I'm guessing that for the earlier posts (the ones where I couldn't see the images) you didn't use the "manage attachments" button and instead just inserted the pictures in-line using the "Insert Image" button on the second row of icons for the main edit window?
Spec, does any of this help?

Yep. It's been a while since I've read about one but... interestingly, things have had a habit of breaking when updating so I know it can be a fearful thing for Spec to do. lolQuote:

Yes, that's where Newark is located but, I think (personally) the first design looks better. (Although... I kinda like the third one above too.)

DZ should have an archive of all the logos for every SELEM shirt going back to the very first SELEM in 2007. The first design was mostly text, with a laser line and beam burst graphic below the text.
The designs that Shadow has submitted look really good! Unless someone else has any last-minute submissions, I'm going to declare him the winner for the logo design again this year.
I need to check with the shirt folks to see about the viability of a few things, but I've already narrowed it down to one of the last three designs posted in his thread above. (Just need to make sure that there won't be any issues with the embroidery.)

Hey guys thanks for the kind words. As much as I am excited about making the logo for selem I would be just as excited to see other submissions. If there's anything I can do to correct something let me know.
How about this one? Can you guess what's special about it? Hint, it's in the beams.
I'm going with the fact that it's SELEM 14 and there are 14 beams. WhatdoIwin?? :rolleyes:

PS: The reason Chris is all smiles in his post above is because he wanted to get started on the name tags, so he asked me about the winning logo design the other day. (He knew that a winner had to have been chosen, since the shirt order had already been submitted.) So he knew which one was the winner, even if no one else did.
That's so funny how the last one was chosen because I was just goofing around. I'm glad you guys like the logos. It feels pretty darn good to contribute in some way. Thanks for the two shirts. I can give one to my mother as well as keep one for myself :D
Here's the one with an inverted background. Please post lots of pics of the logo when you guys attend. I'd love to see it
