Just a shout to all who owns this thing!. Hows you Lasever 200mw blue holding after repair?
Surprisingly, ours is still trucking on.. Must have put it thru at least 20 shows, and its still at maybe 150mw.. I wonder if its lasted because Melbourne is quite a dry climate...
Mine seems to be o.k. at the moment although it's not really had that much use as yet. Hopefully it'll be o.k. as it's a real pain when you've paid good money for something that goes wrong.
Cheers
Jem
my lasever 100mw blue is sticking at 80mw
I put around 210 hours on it since the repair. Takes about 15 minutes or so of warm up to get it up to full power. Yes it doesn't make 210mw anymore but still holding around 170mw.
Talking about weather. Mine is always traveling in air sealed Pelican case. it's never left anywhere where temperature below +16 c.
I've got around 75 hours on my latest replacement 100 mw Lasever blue. (Had it since December) So far it's still making 102 mw. No issues to report.

My 50mw blue (actually 70mw) is still doing fine.
All four of mine ar doing just over spec with varied hours on each. I think the worry may be over.
Very happy to report that mine has been problem free since replacement. Which was about last november? ish?
My 200mw is still kickin 192mw at 4.72vdc on the analog input. I still want to sell it. $1200 to the first taker
I'm thinking of 400mw CNI for my new projector.
400mw Blue @ 473
500mw Green @ 532
1000mw Red @ 635
Need to save sum total of 7k of cash.
I will keep Lasever until it dies.
Funny you mention that - I am looking at going for 2x 400mw 473nm in my projector... but that will be further down the road.
That or 445nm + 473nm so I can get some deeper hues. But just the blues will end up costing about 7k - hopefully blues prices will drop in the next year or so. I would love to be able to buy blue photons for the same price as greens :D

My 200mw 473nm Blue seems to have steadied out at 198mw after it's warmed up. Is this due to it bedding in with use? I've given it about 20 hours of use and have noticed this little drop in power over time. I will quote that this has not been repaired and is as it is from Bridge @ Laserwave...
I think this is for Lasever specifically. There was an issue with thier blues a while back... Most all were replaced and this thread was made to check up on them after time went by.
I had wondered how much the Laserwaves were overpowered compared to CNI. Looks like little to none.
OOOPS my mistake I misread the company name  I read everything else correctly but must have skimmed the company name. My sincere apologies to all concerned ;)
No reason to apologize, just want to avoid confussion... ;)
Mine is almost dead!. Making about 60mw.
Sad...
After how many hours of use do you noticed the power drop?
It's pretty much the same thing as before the repairment. First couple of months it was good then slowly it dimmed away. I'm pretty sure it's a coating again.
Making 20mw. It's exactly the same scenario as before. F@cking GARBAGE. The worst laser I ever had! All my other lasers an some are much older then this still kicking overspec. Never again anything from Lasever.>:)
Found old ~80mw Blue TTL. Will use it for now(until my new 300/400mw 473nm arrives). Put them both side by side. 80mw is 4 times brighter.
Have you contacted Lasever? I can handle lasers going bad but I expect companies to stand behind their products so I am curious to see what they have to say.
im a little annoyed at lasever at the moment!!!
i returned a faulty green to them in dec 07. they said it never arrived.
after 6 months of chasing the royal mail, they send me a copy of the form that lasever had signed to say they had received the laser.
sent this to lasever and they said it had arrived in the building but not to lasever office?!
but they said they would replace the faulty green with a new one. but i said to them i brought a 400mw green from them and didnt need the 100mw green anymore and could i put the money towards a red from them.
they said their policy is replace only and i cant put the money towards the red.
how fooking stupid!!!!
After that BS I would say that Lasever owes you more than just a replacement. They have just lost me as a customer until I hear that have straightened out their blue laser problems, bad communications, and poor customer relations.
My 80mw 473nm is 5 years old. Still works like new. 5 years ago there was a different spec for beam height. Was a challenge to mix it with modern beam heights. Had to put it on it's side on brackets. Actually there was the same story with laserbtb green I had. I went bad after a short time. After all the bad talk I put on this forum. They sent me a complementary 500mw. And it still works great and still overspecs to about 600mw. Thats the example how GOOD companies deal with their screw ups.
After long back-forward between Laserwave and CNI. I played safe and choose CNI 300mw @ 473nm.
Hi @ all. I have got two (2nd generation) blue 100mW returned from Lasever, as both 1st generation did fail after a couple of hours operation (besides the two green ones I had, 100+200mW which failed as well, they still sit somewhere at Lasever and David went completely quiet on mails).
One of the blue is still working at more than 100mW (I let that one run for 3 weeks continuous after getting it back from China, to be sure, with no issues), but the other one I had actually put back in my projector died again after a few hours.
I have given up on Lasever. The working one I will put on ebay, and forget about my 2 greens sitting in China. Very sad story.
The most annoying to me is not the lost money, but I put lots of work in my projector, its a very tight set up (will post pictures in a 'here I am' thread in a second), and I now have to re-do the whole thing, if it is even possible. Went to CNI for a 150mW blue, Laser-Wave for green, and have to build a red from DVD diodes.
Greets, Jo
I am intersted in buying some of these dead or dying lasers for parts. Let me know if they are reasonably priced and intact and un-opened. Paypal-cash-check-M.O. PM me with details...
I have a 30mw 473nm blue from lasever, however, it failed in 3 hours test and the power goes to 3mw, after returning and re-check by lasever, they said it's because of the great heat and need to dispel and then it will recover to work. The laser is now on the way to me again, I think I will test it more, Thanks for lasever's great service;)
I hope you had it somehow heatsinked for that 3 hours :eek::eek:
Just a quick side note... I bought a 100mw 473nm laser used on Ebay. The owner said it had 650 hours on it and was now down to 70mw output. So, I got it cheap.
When I got it home, I popped the cap and re-aligned the ND:YAG and LBO optics and brought the power back up to 87mw.
Thermal expansion can re-align all the tiny optics mounts in a bad way.
CNI! there is no need to advertise yourself. Everyone already knows you!
