Enclosures For Sale

George at Cham Tech has asked me to sell off his remaining inventory of laser enclosures. Currently I have 4 enclosures here, but there are another 10 available.

These are made of steel and powder coated black. Rear panels have cut out for IEC, XLR, D conn, switch etc. They also have ventilation slots and a hanging bracket is included.

There is an internal horizontal shelf neatly dividing the projector into 2 separate sections. Dimensions are as follows-

Depth: 310mm
Width: 245mm
Height: 155mm

Internal Height Upper section: 90mm
Internal Height Lower Sectiom: 60mm

Although an RGB system would be a squeeze, and RGY system shouldnt be a problem. I also guess you can get a 1+ watt DPSS in there without any difficulties. George will not be making any more of these cases, so once they have gone, that will be it.

I apologise for the poor pictures, these were taken tonight using flash, the marks are merely dust. I will clean these up and take better pictures over the weekend in daylight.

Cost of these enclosures is £75 each. Postage (DHL) is an additional £10
If you buy 2, postage is still only a tenner. :D

ONLY 1 LEFT

EDIT: NEW PICTURES BELOW

Those cases look very familiar to me. I got two direct from George earlier this year along with my PM25. Great little cases.

Carl

Sounds awsome. Is there db25 hole?

The D connector hole is for 15 pin version, for some reason George used this on all his controllers. It would be easy to file it bigger, or make an adaptor.

Any chance you could attach two side by side for an RGB?

Quazar.

I can tell you that you can only get a 9 way D type connector on the back of the cases as the port was originally intended for a serial port for the PM27 DMX projectors.

Probably not. Although the front and rear panels are removable, so you may be able to bolt 2 of them end to end.

I will investigate this on the weekend for you.

My mistake. Thanks for the update.:D

well...I can allways make it bigger! :D

how much do these weigh?
thanks
Rich

I'm guessing approx 3 kg each (tops).

I can weigh one when I get home.

Thanks, that would be great. I'm trying to put another projector together which will do a lot of travelling so weight is my biggest issue.

Cheers
Rich

According to the bathroom scales, about 1.75 kg.

Thanks Quazar, I'm out of the country at the moment but back in 10 days or so. I'll measure all my stuff up and see if it will fit. I'll let you know if I need to order one. Hopefully I will!

Cheers
Rich

How many of these do you have left?

Okay, as it isnt raining this weekend, I managed to get some better pictures taken. I also need to point out that the front aperture on these cases is designed to allow a standard photographic AR filter to be fitted as the front window.

On this case (and a couple of the others) you may notice the applied graphics. These are merely self adhesive vinyl and are easily removed should you wish to do so.

no pics of brackets ? and how they are attached ?

PAUL

OK, my mistake. :D Here is a picture of the hanging bracket. Also a picture showing where it attached to the chassis. There are pre punched holes along the sides of the central equipment tray. The red stripe covers them on this particular case. These will take a 6mm bolt as standard. I would suggest having the bolt pointing "outwards" from the case, use a rubber washer between case and bracket, then use a flat washer and wing nut on the outside.

Just to update this thread. There is only 1 enclosure left. It has been fitted with a pair of externally mounted 60mm fans.

Lamborgini8 - yours is still safe.;)

Thanks :)

You don't happen to have any of those 3 pin power plugs that are shown on the above picture do you?

Afraid not. Maplins or RS would be your best bet for those.

Was just thinking that.

As the last remaining case is a bit tatty and has non standard fans fitted, I will discount it to £65.

There is just one of these cases left now.

PM sent.
Does that case include the power connections or just those fans? By the way, are they 12 or 120 ( or 240) volt? (I'm assuming 12, although my rack fans are 120).

The case with the fans has sold. The remaining case is a plain enclosure with no fittings.

These are now all sold.
I still have a few Large Enclosures left.

Large enclosures?

Larger than the one you quoted at the beginning of this thread?

Yes. :D
Check the link.

Where is the link? :)

Quazar - If someone is viewing the thread with the new "Clean blue fluid" style applied, they won't be able to see links in the text. It's a bug with the new layout...

LaserGuy - Scroll to the bottom of the page, and in the lower left corner, select "default style". Then you'll be able to see the links.

Adam

Adam...

Thanks for the pointer... that was exactly the problem :)

Quazar,

Thanks for your patiance!

Didnt realise the links were lost in the new layout.
I quickly reverted back to the old style.:D

Looks like Spec has got the links working in the new layout now... ;)
