I recently got showeditor, and its alright! it took a while to get to grips with it, but its easy now. seems to use a hell of a lot of my computers' resources though :confused:

Do you have an FTP client? If not, you can download FireFTP for free. (Assuming you are using the Firefox browser, that is.)
Then just type in the address of the server (ftp://ftp.ildaswap.net) and click on the connect button. It will ask you for a login ID: (type in "ilda") and then a password: (type in "swap").
Then you will be logged in and you can copy files from your computer to the server (upload) or from the server to your computer (download). It's easy!

Well... the only bad thing (sorry...:() is:
At the beginning (when I was trying to upload) I created a folder, into the main root, named "Nuova cartella". It is empty and it have to be erased.... but I don't succeed in this because I have not permission to do it.
Server return me this error message:
"550 Cannot RNFR . No permission"
I would rename also the correct folder which contains the uploaded shows: this folder is placed into "shows" sub-folder. This folder is named also "Nuova cartella" (one more time!):o
For those who don't read and understand Italian.... "Nuova cartella" means "New folder":D.

I noticed that a few files on the ftp are extensed .rar. It seems that the files are ilda-files, but I can't open them. Do I have to unpack them or something, and more important: how?
you must use this program: WINRAR (like winzip)

You need to be using an FTP.
Easiest one for me is the Fire FTP plug in for the Firefox browser. Its a free add on from the Firefox add ins page. Once the details are entered its just 1 click every time to connect and 1 further click to download or upload to the server.
EDIT: I've just pulled the 1st DVD tutorial in the Pangolin Folder off in seconds without problems and it plays back fine locally. I'm getting the rest now.
PS Can I give a little feedback to Pangolin here possibly for future tutorials - the text will be clearer if you use MPEG4 to compress videos and you'll also get a higher bit rate for any given file size as its a much more efficient codec. There isn't a standard template for MPEG 4 for SD as its a high definition compression format. However, most video editors will allow you to create a custom template that uses the MPEG4 basic template and settings but with dimensions altered to correspond to SD standards. Thats what I did with my Vegas Pro 8.1 Editor and it works a treat for quality on SD output.

I just tried and I can't get a connection to Cruch's server.
PL one connects just fine.
White-Light : PM me with youre IP adress, and I will check the banned IP's log.
It's non static.
I have a connection again so I don't know what happened. I renew my IP regularly as my line SNR frequently drops causing problems so as soon as it goes below 9db (it should be 12db, I reboot the router).
ftp has been spammed again.
all directories contain a file named 'counter13.js' now.
All cleaned up now. :D
I thought our illustrious leader was gonna prevent files with the extensions .js & .tmp being written to the ftp server as they serve no valid purpose (except for monkey business). :confused:
well...javascript was not added to the list...but it is now :)

Btw... Those abstractions can be exported as ILDA, but the files tend to become very large and you cannot play around with their settings anymore.
