Just got my RIYA multibus,,
You guys are going to love it!
Which multi-bus model, micro, basic or Pro? I know lasernerd got a peek at the pro, darn sexy! I will have my micro at the west coast LEM, lasernerd had his new FB3 and both hooked up the other day pretty neat stuff!
-Adam
doesn't matter.. whatever model you want will work.. im getting a multibus basic. Ihor will box them all together.
and then we can split them up.
Prices are: Euro 159/200/250 for Mltiobus Micro/Basic/Pro versions
sugeek, are you still interested..
For now I think one is good for me! I still need to play with the multibus micro a bit more before getting another DAC.
ok well DrLava and I (mostly him) are about to move on this, anyone interested in a Riya post here and we will do a group buy to save shipping
no interest at all...
that sux
Can you keep this open for a few more days? Will let you know after I see one working at the west coast LEM.
yeah its still open.. we haven't done anything yet
not me :( i think its a "rebuilding" year
It was great to meet you! Thank you again for letting me use your projector at PaCoLEM, I will see about getting the documentation posted soon for the install/setup. I am going to try and get the RIYA Live runner working, I think my issues so far might have been not having any shows on the DAC (more to come later, I should sleep).

I'll be handling the GB, the details are currently being worked out.
Great connecting with you and thanks for bringing your Riya for us to work with. I was very impressed with how the Riya worked, put me on the list for a Pro unit.
Keeprex I will PM you for the behind-the-curtain details.

We have some time on this. The shells are currently being made, as are the circuit boards, so there is some lead time before everything will be ready to ship. Plenty of time for more people to join.
Can someone tell me what this is or better yet what it does? Cat
Hey Cat -
That's another laser projector controller that's on the market. From everything I've heard, sounds like they're pretty good, but won't quite match the performance in the gear Matt has already acquired... :)
At least you're still asking questions, Cathy! Most people would have given up by now. Congratulations for sticking with it!
Adam
Buffo, my goal is to one day be able to answer questions from another newbie. One day I will surprise you all. I just appreciate the patience of those who answer my questions.....Cat
Michael's book? Yeah, that would be an awesome read. I'm sure she'd love it. Just make sure you get it back! Those things are rare...
Adam
The BOOK was printed on demand, and LMR got death threats for doing the BOOK. It is probably no longer available, as few people ever hear anything from LMR now that he became VP of this defense contractor with water filtration stuff on the space station. Its a rags to riches story with 25 year career laserist changing careers and winning.
Cat, you have made a impression on me, because the number of folks I would even let handle the 300 pages or so, is small to say the least.
B4 anybbody asks, no, we are not going to ruin the binding to scan it in.
Nor would I violate the copyright.
Of course we might scan in the famous chapter 2, all one page of it.
Steve
This book almost sounds cloak and dagger type stuff. You'll have to forgive me, I don't know who LMR is, maybe we aren't suppose to which is fine. Thank you, it sounds like it was a good impression. Rags to riches story are good ones to hear about, it keeps people reaching for their goals. Cat
No, its a very professionally written book.
LMR + l. Michael Roberts, Famous Canadian Laserist,
And no, we are NOT related, he's South African by birth.
Steve
It's a good read, Cathy. If Steve still has his copy and is willing to lend it to you, you'll enjoy reading it for sure. The guy that wrote it used to run the LaserFX.com website. (That site hasn't been updated in years, but it's still got a lot of good info.)
The cloak and dagger theme is mostly because copies of the book are exceedingly rare these days. It's out of print, and there is little hope of getting L. Michal Roberts to authorize a reprinting.
Adam
I still have mine as well and it covers the basics of doing shows but,
before he could ever do a re-print, LMR would have to do a major update on it.
It was written in the days of GAS lasers and I think most people here are
using solid state lasers now. I let Keeperx have it for a few weeks to
digest its contents.
Mark
i did return that correct??
ok, back on the topic this GB is Hot and Ready!
Ihor was fast in preparing these units and they will be ready to ship to you guys in a matter of days. Shipping from Ihor to me came down to $15 each. Without shipping, the GB price, in USD, is:
180/240/300 for Micro/Basic/and Pro units. Add $15 to that for the international shipping, and then decide if you want first class ($3, Priority $4.80, or priority insured ($10) shipping to your place here in the U.S.A.
There are some differences with these controllers from the one pictured before. The control buttons are on the top, labeled, and colored now. Also the external power option is via USB only now. I'm looking for some 5V USB wall-wart adapters that are decently made, and see some on ebay for very cheap that should be tested.
Pics coming later.
PM me for payment info and/or discussion..
i use this for my cell phone charger.. im sure it will work

How much current is it rated for?
I am using a belkin adaptor for an ipod for my Micro it worked fine at the LEM... I am still building my projector or I could give you more advise... The software is fine too just a bit of a learning curve! Y'all should give Ihor some more money he needs it, well that and a paypal account!
