I just finished a show that I hope soforene can dance to... DJ Icey tune, City of Groove. Let me know what y'all think. *retardo I have it on the PL FTP and will be up loading it to the ildaswap FTP in a moment. I took a video but need to capture it and synch the audio before I can upload that.
If someone can tell me how I will be glad to try and save it as another format to be shared on other systems.
Woohoo !! :)
Very nice Aaron.
Mind you, you still have some way to go before reaching the musical heights of Hardcore Morris Dancing.
But it's a start in the right direction. :D
Thanks for sharing.
Hi Aaron,
Thanks for this lasershow :)
Regards Sander
I posted a video on uTube...

Not sure if I can do something to the Morris Dancing.
Nice one- thanks for sharing.
I haven't put together a beam show like this one yet, but it makes me want to get going on one. Do you have a guesstimate as far as how much time it took you to get the song and the effects synced up so nicely?
Thanks, Mike
Thanks man! Time wise this was the fastest one. I spent a good 30+ hours on Hip Hug Her, about 20 on Life in Technicolor, about 20+ on High Roller, but not more than 12 hours on this one, City of Groove. I think this one has more obvious beat changes that are exactly 15 seconds apart for most of the song. I just made 15 second segments through the whole show. I was like playing a good video game on Thursdaysday night for, "If I can just make it to the next level I can go to bed"... then I was done at about 3:00 am. :cool:Quote:

I hope I can do half as well programming a beam show!
Nice job!:D:D:D
Awesome- the fact that the time required to crank out a good, er great, show is evidence that you are becoming more proficient with the software. Great job, and again, thanks for sharing!
Excellent work Aaron, thanks for sharing :)
After the rigours of trying to sort out my home network today i've just spent a short while relaxing and watching some laser shows. Thoroughly enjoyable :D
Jem
Looks good was just playing with it on my projector. Thanks
Most Excellent show! Thanks a lot for sharing Aaron! :) *DZ
Very nice show!! [popcorn]
Thank you for sharing!
Did you disabled the power at the location of the camera with the attenuation map?
Thanks again y'all!
Tim, that video is to Coldplay's "Life in Technicolor"; I have asked the band to look at it in hopes they may want to use it in their concert on August 7th in Charlotte, NC. I didn't "release" in in hopes they do use it and I didn't want any "rights" issues. If they don't, or do use it and don't care, I will have it on the FTP soon.
Yes, I use an attenuation map when I make videos now; just so I can get that "in the tunnel" angle. I also use a bigger map and point the projector at my lazyboy for when I watch. [popcorn]
Anyone got a 3, 5, or 7 QM2000 set up to test this on? I saved the tracks as:
Tracks 1 and 3 = scanners 1, 3, 5, 7, and Tracks 2 and 4 = scanners 1, 2, 4, 6 on scenes 1 and 3
Tracks 1 and 3 = scanners 1, 2, 4, 6, and Tracks 2 and 4 = scanners 1, 3, 5, 7 on scene 2.
I hope this works well. http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...pictureid=1695I renamed it City of GrooveBeta7Scannersa.sho from City of GrooveBeta7Scanners.shs so it would attach. Rename it "City of GrooveBeta7Scannersa.shs" before opening.
***EDIT***
!!!Watch out for them beams!!! The projection zone change moved the beams down and they are a bit strong. ;)
***EDIT2***
I am trying something; I didn't have zone 3 set for those tracks when I saved them to the scanners... which had a BAD effect...
***EDIT3***
I have replaced the "City of GrooveBeta7Scannersa.shs" with "City of GrooveBeta7Scannersb.sho" where I moved the offending beams to a 5th and 6th track which I left to the frame's preferred projection zone and all seems well. I am not sure if only scanner 1 will project them or all the projectors...
any chance to convert for FB3 ?
