    Default From internet to laser?

I'm new to lasers, so sorry if this is a newbie question but I couldn't find anything in the search.

I'd like to make an art project this Summer that takes information from the internet and then lasers it onto the side of a building. I've seen this done with projectors (although I don't know how) but would prefer to do it with lasers. I can do the coding that processes the information from the internet, so what I'd be looking for in an ideal world would be a USB box that could send a line of text to a laser.

I saw something very expensive that would do the job via SMS, but I was hoping for something less expensive.

    Thanks in advance.

if your are pretty good at DLL programing you could get one from here :

    http://www.lumax.de

this is a DAC that can create analog signal to a ILDA standard input !! communicates via usb through a FTDI chip, from the site you can also download the DLL´s and test software !!
