I tried the sonima amps for the 6200 scanners, the sonimas have the raytheon chip on them. But that didn't keep them from destroying my scanners

I successfully managed to tune the feedback, then I connected the motors (whilst first turning everything off of course)
I even tuned them to the ILDA test pattern. But I noticed one of the scanners getting hot sometimes.
Then some kind of high frequency oscillation started and before I knew it, the cores were delaminated and the rotor was demagnitised.

The worst part is that I built my entire projector around them and Junktronix has sold all of his bargain ones, so I'm looking at a lot of money to get my projector up and running again (with the MicroAmps I already bought)

It looks like I am getting amps from mixedgas, so hopefully I will be able to post something soon

The end goal is to send them into my laser cutter, but I will make sure to mate them with my whitelight just for kicks

That amp is slew rate limited. It has a circuit in the front end that limits the rate of change for a scan signal. Unless you remove/bypass/re-adjust the limiter, you'll have a hard time doing bright single beams with it, as a beam calls for an "instantaneous" jump and with the limiter circuit it will take a long time to settle. Flat scans and graphics will almost work with the limiter there. The limiter is on there to insure smooth scans when projecting on recording film. The limiter is on the input circuit, not in the feedback loop, so you probably can remove it, I have never tried to do so on my board. Then you will have to retune the amp for ILDA compatibility. The amp in question is usually set up for precision scanning, not speed.

Your really looking for 6850s, unless you want to and have the skills to modify the 650X series amp.
