I don't have a clue about the place, all i know is it's a bit more southern like me

It's not my house, i just remember seeing a few words about this in the other thread, and the venue looked ill... should be easy enough to figure out trains from wherever. Also, I'm in reading, and i know trains from london and elsewhere here are easy, so if some ppl are stuck i'm sure there'll be room in whatever ride i get that's to be sorted out closer to date (whenever that is)

this is the normal venue we use, its located pretty central within the UK.

not great for everyone but you cant get much fairer than central

Laser Warning Just about to buy my new laser, any thoughts please.

Er my first laser was a Helium/Neon 0.5mw gas device. Things have moved on somewhat.

I am about to order a 500mw RGB Violet with 20k scanner and Mamba Black 1.9 from discoparty in China. Are these good products for starting or should I look at something else?

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

    Many thanks.

    Robert

Thanks for the advice. I must be in the wrong place. I thought only intelligent and well minded people resided here.

Hey man You're in the right place if you like lasers, that's about it! There's a good few intelligent people here and andy_con is definitely one of them, but you know, politics is politics. The forum crew is ready to help, but sometimes sensitive about this sort of thing. Don't sweat, just post in the right forums, read the faq and all's well If you need help picking a laser, post up in the help section, and if you have some ideas about the next meet, post up here, simples

You'll probably get more assistance with your laser choices if you do stick a post in the correct section and throw up another post here with more details about you hosting the event... although this is all just suggestions and i'm about as new to the forum as you!

(ps. laser choice is ALL personal, and very closely depends on the intended application, so when you do post in the right section some more details about what you intend on using the beast for will be very helpful, as well as your budget and whatever prices you were quoted. This will help people determine whether you're getting a good deal or if there might be a better one had more locally. This forum is full of people with their own laser businesses, and very helpful for that sort of thing.)

    pps. welcome to the club!
